The fear for Israel is that as soon as Palestinian Arabs become citizens of Israel they will form a majority and vote someone like Hamas into power, and this will be the end of any "Equal rights" and free country for the Jewish population.

The solution is that Palestine's legal system should consist of a Muslim, Jewish, and Christian judicial system. This means that they should be allowed to live with their own legislation and be judged under their own faith. The only solution is to make Palestine free, and let there exist three parliaments, or one building with access for three religions, which can discuss for their people. That is the only solution! Israel is an enemy state! It is three religions that should rule, they should have their own militants and ally themselves with their fellow citizens and colleagues.

A one state solution is only possible if enforced by a foreign power that is considered neutral. One would need an alien power for that. Hence, not in a million lightyears will this happen.

This fact gives at least a glimmer of hope for the one-state hypothesis.

I feel that a one state solution is the only way to go. Palestine should be set free and restored. I partly feel this way because it is just what is right and fair to the Palestinian people. And I hope people consider this article I wrote. The Real Jewish Connection to Palestine... The Jewish now claim to have an ancient, sacred connection to Palestine's holy lands, in efforts to justify their aim to own and/or control it. Although they have been trying to re-write history, in order to convince the world of their claims and their right to steal Palestine; historical facts still show that the Jewish people have no sacred connection to Palestine's holy lands, because they were actually on the dark side of this part of Palestine's history. According to historical records, the small group of Jewish people, who lived with the Roman's during the time of Jesus, were actually responsible for the murder of Jesus. And, until the 1960s the Jewish people had still been denouncing Jesus, which is why the Catholic and other Christian religions have felt so threatened by the Jewish religion. The true ancient Jewish connection to Jesus can be more accurately described as a murderous hatred. Below is a quote from Jewish writings...

"But what do Jews believe about Jesus? For some Jews, the name alone is nearly synonymous with pogroms and Crusades, charges of deicide and centuries of Christian anti-Semitism.
Other Jews, recently, have come to regard him as a Jewish teacher. This does not mean, however, that they believe, as Christians do, that he was raised from the dead or was the messiah... Jews for Jesus is one branch of a wider movement called Messianic Jews [formed in the 1960s]. Members of this movement are not accepted as Jewish by the broader Jewish community."

The part of the Jewish religion, that now claims to value in Jesus, was formed in the 1960s and appears to be just to declare a positive Jewish connection to Jesus, in efforts to justify the Jewish takeover of Palestine's sacred lands where Jesus was born and died. It was also in the 1960s when Israel aimed to do a complete takeover of what little was left of the Palestinian territories - the Gaza strip and West Bank, including the rest of Jerusalem. So, in their rewriting of history, they went from historical fact - the Jewish murdering Jesus and remaining in nearly 2000 years of denouncing Jesus...to now suddenly claiming that Jesus was Jewish and that the Jewish are Jesus's chosen people.
Historical records also say that the Jewish people were, through ALL of the past, an extreme minority group in Palestine, and therefore never have had any right to Palestine. The Arabs were the natives in Palestine and were the vast majority of the population in Palestine and its holy lands, until the recent mass Jewish immigration took place, and the new Jewish settlers and their Zionist supporters began killing off the Arab Palestinians and chasing them out of Palestine, in order to turn Palestine into the "Jewish State of Israel."
The Jewish and Zionist people sure do want to own the holy lands, bad enough to steal and kill and lie and re-write history and project their own "evil" behaviors onto the whole Arab population and fabricate things to pit them against each other...etc., and these actions alone should be letting people know that this is NOT a good or right or just thing. In fact it feels VERY dark/evil to me. It must not be allowed to continue. Palestine must be set free and restored.

It is the native Palestinians - the Arabs who have an ancient sacred connection to Palestine and its holy lands. Its the Arabs who belong there. Palestine, and the whole surrounding area, has always been the Arab territories and nobody else has any right to it, no matter what.

P.S. My instincts have been telling me that the Jewish and Zionist people, who are involved in the Palestine/"Israel" sandal, are also responsible for masses of problems that other Arab countries have been faced with in the past several decades. And this has been validated by historical facts, which state that they have been engaging in psychological warfare and dishonest propaganda, like has been being done to the Palestinian people. It all just has to stop, so that healing can take place and peace can finally be restored in Palestine and its neighboring Arab states and healing can take place.
A "Jewish State" does have right to exist, but certainly not through theft and killing and destruction. How did they ever expect to have "peace" and "safety" through treating the Arabs the way they did? Its beyond me.
Perhaps their supporting Zionist leaders of other countries can give them some unused plots of lands if the Jewish people want to isolate themselves from the world and have complete control of where they live. Or perhaps its finally time for ALL people to learn how to get along with and be considerate of and respectful of other people and their properties and their beliefs and their rights.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Zionist Role in the Destruction of Palestine and the Creation of Israel; It turns out that the Zionists were initially a Christian movement, that started in the early 1800s, and was called the Restoration Movement.
It was about promoting Christianity and making sure that people did not sway away from Jesus. It became the "Zionist" movement just prior to the aim to bring the Jewish people to Palestine. The Catholic religion felt very threatened by the Jewish religion, because it denounced Jesus. Hense the holocaust in Europe...etc. So, to make a long story short; it appears that the Zionists wanted the Jewish people to be isolated in Palestine, so that Christianity would not be stunted by it. And, since the Catholics were also against stubborn indigenous people, who were hard to convert, this would help to get rid of yet another batch of them, in Palestine, as well.

Do the Zionists control or brainwash the Jewish people in Israel? Or are they free to think and feel and do what they want to? Just wondering. Either way...

God, help humanity to recover from the damage that heartless or ignorant religious leaders have inflicted.

Its up now to the new generation of jews to say no to zionism and to abandon this flawed ideology this is the only way a one state solution will be possible. Organisations like Jewish Voice for Peace at taking the lead on this and it feels like its gaining a lot of momentum. The Arab side on the other hand needs to come to accept the Jewish presence despite the horrible history and embrace it in some way.

A one state solution or a two-state solution can only "work" if all the Jewish people in Israel decide to leave Israel immediately. Because if they stay, they will be exterminated. Any person who argues against this is either ignorant of what happened on the 7th October, wilfully ignorant of Arab desires across the Arab world, living in some kind of deist nirvana or is on drugs. Let's not pretend; most of the Palestinians in Israel/Palestine are new-comers from Egypt and Syria following the revival of Israel/Palestine after the 1948 war. How many refugees from Palestine have Egypt and Syria accommodated? 5? 10? Get real Al Jazeera.

A one-state solution is equalling as absurd because si long as Israel is defined as a Jewish state it can't be ever considered a real democracy because by virtue of its name, it presupposes the ethnic and religious superiority of one group, the Jews, over any other group of citizens. It's no different to segregation America which was defined as a white country where the white population were given more rights than other groups, such as the black population and the Native Americans. The only way for a one-state solution to work is for Israel to no longer be a Jewish state, but a full secular democracy where the Jews are treated no differently than any other group, and that's never going to happen. We already see how Palestinian Israeli residents are treated simply because they're not Jewish. They can't even enter their mosques surtout being brutally harassed by the Israeli police

I am a little surprised about how unrealistic this discussion is. The moral case for righting the wrongs Palestinians have suffered at the hands of the Israelis is unassailable. I agree with it entirely but there is another morality to consider, more utilitarian, the Im-morality of continuing to push utterly impractical solutions to your problem. So the justice of the Palestinian cause is LESS relevant than the utter failure of armed struggle and resistance to do anything but make the Palestinians' situation worse and worse since 1993. Israel is not going to dissolve itself as a nation state and no-one is ever going to be strong enough to make it do so. So why isn't anyone discussing the two-state solution floated in previous peace negotiations when the most liberal Israeli government they are ever going to get sat down with the PLO and hammered out proposals for an actually feasible peace deal?

What would this One State everyone here is touting look like? No one bothers to explain.
When bi-national Eastern European States like the Czechs or Slovaks looked around them in the 1980s they could choose between Soviet or EU States and say hey we’d much rather be like France than what they had under Soviet Occupation and dominance. After 1989 Ukrainians (which had a minority of Russian-Speaking citizens) looked at their options, Belarus under Russian dominance or Poland in the EU? They chose the EU. Who wouldn't? If the Russian speakers in the Donbas want to join Russia let them especially now after the Russian invasion.
Now what do you have to offer Israelis as an option for a State? What would it look like? Lebanon? Syria? Egypt? Saudi Arabia? Jordan? Libya? ISIS? Iraq, Yemen, the Taliban, Iran? Name one you would like to live in as a Muslim Arab, what would you have to be prepared to give up by way of freedom, prosperity and stability? A LOT. Now name one you would like to live in as a former Israeli Jew? Why would even the most willing Israeli choose to give up what they have for those options staring back at them over their borders? DO any of those States' treatment of their own MUSLIM citizens give you any confidence that somehow Jews would be treated well? The most recent experience of Jews living under Arab dominance was in the 50s and 60s when 800 000 were expelled from newly independent Arab States and their property taken from them.
How can you guarantee the Israelis they wouldn't end up in a Lebanon or worse rather than in a Greece or Bulgaria? The Palestinians themselves have not even been united politically since 2007. That does not inspire confidence.

And yeah you are going to have offer Israelis SOMETHING other than expecting them from the beginning, in a negotiation, to admit how awful they have been (called here accountability) or for the International Order to come in and force Israel to give up its sovereignty and treat it like a criminal who has to pay up and admit fault before returning the company to public ownership. This will NEVER HAPPEN.

Like it or not the only feasible precursor for peace is going to look something like the 2000 Camp David plans or the 2008 Olmert plan. Anything else is just whistling in the wind. This isn’t ultimately going to be about justice, which is largely on the Palestinian side going all the way back to the Balfour Declaration, an Imperialist document, but what the weaker party can do to assure the stronger that it can be trusted not to try and destroy it or collapse into chaos it if it gives up some of its advantage.
Hamas has been the Israeli extreme Right’s best friend for the last 30 years. Its bombing campaign in the 90s made Netanyahu Prime Minister in a Right Wing Annexationist government (the Revisionist Wing of Zionism) for the first time (even after a religious Israeli extremist murdered Rabin in 1995) and began the steady erosion of the Israeli Left. In the early 2000s, the PLO's Intifada and bombing campaign in Israel brought Sharon (of Sabra and Shatila fame) to power. The Israeli Left never returned to power again and is a tiny party now.

For it to work though, it must be secular, democratic, treat Arabic and Hebrew as co-equal, co-official languages, ensure citizenship and equal rights to all people of Palestine, and ensure right of return for those who were pushed out during the Nakhba.

South Africa is a terrible example to use. No Israeli is looking at that country as a model of success. Modern day South Africa is a borderline failed state that has had rolling blackouts for the past fifteen years. It has one of the highest crime rates in the world, with sexual violence being completely endemic. Furthermore, the third largest political party (the Economic Freedom Fighters) led by Julius Malema, openly calls for the genocide of the minority White population (about 7-8% of the country).

I think one state from the river to the sea is an excellent option! The new government should have equal representation of both the Jews and Palestinians. Initial laws and regulations should be drafted by the international community for the new country. Once rules are established, the new leaders can begin to govern and change laws as needed. There should be only even numbers of Senators, Congressman, Supreme Court judges, 2 Prime Ministers, etc. There should be an equal ammount of representation for all bodies of government, for example12 supreme court judges, 6 Jews and 6 Arabs. Sure there may be many deadlocks, they will have to get along to govern. The miltary & security forces should be equal as well. The international community should force Israel to accept this.
