ОтветитьLol I own a 25 year old Mazda 2600i mini truck, and yeah it's slow as hell just like the Datsun must've been. Loads of fun to drive regardless
ОтветитьI love tray vehicles, like the pickup SUVs such as the ford F-259 and the pickup cars like the modern Holden ute
ОтветитьYou need to shift down... You are holding it in to high of a gear.

Ответить# 1 Sadly you don't even know the name ? That is not a HAKO TORA but a Sunny-Tora a HakoTora has the Hakosuka Skyline front end swap , that is just a Sunny Tora and not a HAKO TORA nor SURA the way you pronounced it ... HAKO= Meaning Box after the Hako-suka Skyline Suka = short for Skyline !
Ответить1200 Ute is my dream car
ОтветитьThis is iconic here in south african and was kept in production till 2008/2009. It has a strong following with farmers, drifters, drag racers...in fact almost everyone loves them here!!
ОтветитьIn South Africa it was even sold until 2008 as the "Bakkie".
And it was replaced with a Dacia based pickup. Of course it´s more "modern" but this one is way cooler.
Lol

ОтветитьIve got a mate that still daily drives one
ОтветитьI own one in Texas, it's an ugly little turd but I and everyone else loves it. I notice people behind me sneaking pictures, I've been cruising down the highway and had people start recording videos as they pass me. It's quite the experience owning one. I love watching someone behind get that inquisitive look on their face like "oh what's that, nvr seen one of those.....wait...where the driver" then you see the face go from inquisitive to the "oh shit" and they start pointing and smiling.
ОтветитьYes
Ответитьplanning on building one of these.
tuff aussie version, n/a ls1, twin 3” pipes, tubbed, 5 speed manual.
Customers: no safety features?

ОтветитьI remember growing up we had a Nissan 1400 bakkie (bakkie is South African for pick up) same thing
ОтветитьPrice Kitna hai
ОтветитьIt pisses me off that we don't get things like this in the US. Cause there are quite a few Utes & small trucks that would probably do very well here. I really love the sun burst on the tailgate.
ОтветитьI saw this video 6 years ago when it was first posted and it awakened my love for old JDM vehicles, and the Datsun Sunny will forever be stuck in my mind. Cars like this are the reason we deal with back-breaking seats, hard-to-find parts, old slow motors and every quirk and gremlin that hangs around. I don't think cars will ever have this personality ever again or invoke the same feeling of adoration from their owners. Thanks for taking this truck out for a spin and sharing the experience with us, Alex.
ОтветитьWhen men were men and trucks were used as trucks...
ОтветитьThis guy dissing this thing in a professional way 😅💔
ОтветитьCan’t believe I’m only just seeing this post! IMO the best looking bakkie / pickup out there. Saw one on IG with a R34 swap 😮💨 dream car.
ОтветитьOnly a prom could whinge about no traction control in a Datto 1200 ute, lol
Ответитьmy grandpa had bought one in red in 1980. It was passed on to my father who is now in his 70's and this death on wheels is still going at 44 years old. The last 5 years it basically exists for the one time each year anyone in the family needs a pick up. I need it to carry 4 truck beds of wood 30 kms away this fall. I'm sure it will give me 4 thrilling rides as it always does. I'm gonna be a little sad when something really expensive on it breaks and it meets its grave.
