If one of these manufacturers were to get smart and create a tool set with three or four 10mm sockets it would sell like gangbusters. lol
ОтветитьWould you be able to do a test on different chainsaw bar oils? I would like to know if the biodegradable oils are worth the extra money while not destroying my bar and chain.
ОтветитьNice tool box idea you should sell it
ОтветитьCould you do best hand cleaner for dirt, oil, grease? Like compare Gojo with similar products like goop and lava soap?
ОтветитьAre you the Ernie's voice from Sesame Street?
ОтветитьVideo idea, what’s the best propane torch head.
ОтветитьThose ratchet wrenches/spanners are a great feature, sure help a lot when you can’t get a socket onto a nut or bolt. Thought Stanley would be a popular tool manufacturer there, I have a lot of their spanners and never had one fail me.
ОтветитьWow, I didn’t know I needed more tools 🤣🤣🤣
ОтветитьWas a HD last night 11/29/23, and that kit was $98!
ОтветитьTruly helpful especially being a broke newbie lvl 1 technician, definitely boosted my confidence in gear wrench. THANKS !!!
ОтветитьHi, I'm just considering to buy impact wrench, but I'm not full time mechanic - I'm just fixing my own cars when it's needed. As learned with the impact ratchet, or with electric screwdriver - in my case battery powered tools are completely useless. The batteries are always flat when I need to use the tool, and I have to wait hours becore use.
Other thing is that batteries are getting old regardless the usage, In result I pay for tool that will be used just couple of times, and after 2-5 years battery will not be charging enough, so rubbish.
Could you maybe test some corded impact wrenches, please?
That would be really helpful - I think specially for people that don't use these things every day. Tests of corded impact ratchets and corded electric screwdrivers would be also very interesting.
I live in the UK, so ideally would be if tests would include items available not only in US, but worldwide.
Thanks
I wish, that the people who put these sets together would understand that if you work on predominantly Fords and you're going to need a different set than somebody that works predominantly on Subarus,,,, the no 19 mm or 15 mm is a bad deal,. Has those are usually used in places that take high torque
ОтветитьYour turning the open ended wrenchs the opposite direction its designed to, during the round nut/ tourque test
ОтветитьWellp. I've always been a fan of Huskey.
I guess I should get that set, seeing as how my truck needs some working on.
Please do the world a favor and test Superzilla, I keep seeing that infomercial but there's no way its that good.
ОтветитьThis exhaustive and elaborate review is a 10/10.
P. S. Can you do a dashcam review (with parking/sentry mode) in the future please?
Big big fan!!!
Great video, but to anyone still thinking about ANY kit. Get whatever gets you started. Don’t be that guy that has to pay for an oil change, spark plug change or even a tire change. Any kit will get you on the way to manhood
I have a dexter tool box and it is amazing quality and super good price 👍👍
Ответитьi've always wondered how strong are cordless screws drivers/drill compared to bigger drills like hammer drill or normal drills. who has the most torque
ОтветитьThis was a great video. Yes, some subjective metrics but you explained them well so even if someone doesn't agree with your subjective view, they can at least understand where you are coming from. That spread sheet at the end can also, in and of itself, be a great way for someone to judge which kit best suits their specific needs. Thanks for another awesome video.
ОтветитьIm older now and built up my tool set in the early 1990's, i miss the made in USA craftsman sets instill use today. Great tools. It's a shame everything is offshored, even budget sets used to be made in USA. I'm keeping my tools forever and hopefully pass them on when I'm gone. Ill search out tag estate sales or marketplaces for OG good tools! Great review!
ОтветитьAs always, thank you so much for putting your time and effort into getting information us folks can use.
ОтветитьI'm sold on Husky tools now. They are always near the top.
ОтветитьWould have been nice if you mentioned the warranty on these as well during the opening segments
ОтветитьI can tell you from experience that the Kobalt box is piece of crap and will NOT last more than a week of minor use. It spreads open, allowing the drawers to slide out.
ОтветитьAnother fine informative video from your channel. You are my de facto go to for making informed purchases. Thanks and God bless!
Ответитьthe biggest i’ve needed is a 9-10 mm hex and i needed it in a socket form no Allen key would ever give me the leverage i need for the part
Ответитьwhat set do you personally use Mr farms!!
Ответитьi think the husky kit is a fairly good buy if your rough on your tools and abuse them beyond what you would normally do to them. They are pretty tough but when you break them its a no questions asked no bookkeeping go grab a new one for free system, dont even need to bring the entire set like some places
ОтветитьRight before the holidays ❤😂
ОтветитьDewalt makes a variant of the kit you reviewed but with a set of combo wrenches included, bringing the tool count to 204. I've been using that set for 4 years now and initially chose it because of the price, adapters, and extentions included. I've done multiple big jobs on my 22 year old bmw 7 series with this set and have yet to break a ratchet or bit. Really great set of tools.
ОтветитьI was really hoping you would review the Quinn Master Mechanic set from Hazard Fraught. It looks pretty complete but I haven't pulled the trigger on it yet.
ОтветитьI have that same Pittsburgh tool set and have had it for about 7 years now. Only thing that has failed is the tip of the cutters but I was using it on something I probably shouldn't have been 😂
ОтветитьThat Gear Wrench looks like it has a better assortment of sockets than my 420 piece Craftsman set
I know what tool set I'm getting next.
The husky was for sure the best bang for buck imo.
ОтветитьLittle disappointed about the dewalt
It seemed promising
I would love to see a comparison of smaller home/apartment tool kits with just some small tools for common household fixes!
Ответить"The most expensive brand that we will be testing today, is this 350 piece Snap-On brand mechanic's set, coming in at just under $23,600."
Ответитьamazingly thorough stuff per usual - you're the man
ОтветитьI hope you see this:
My wife would love to see a sewing machine comparison and stand mixer comparison.
Thank you so much for your contributions and the continuance of this channel. It is the best.
You should do welding gloves!
Ответитьgreat testing as always! :)
i have a suggestion: can you test Diesel Injector-cleaner additives? Would be really nice to know... which one works best or at all :D
As always a great video...
You say you open for new ideas. You did leaf blowers how about electric leaf vacuum... I recently bought a Black & Decker leaf vac and blower Electric there are definitely pros and cons to it
So I never thought kobalt was the best, but fairly comparable to husky and craftsman. The results proved my theory lol. If you get kobalt on sale its not a bad deal.
ОтветитьNot a fan of husky sockets at all, even when my were new they would fall off the drivers, especially the 3/8
ОтветитьI hope your using the lifetime warranty that some of these companies offer haha
ОтветитьHarbor freight sockets and wrenches round off fasteners
Ответитьstill waiting on the outdoor / cold weather / clothes review. It’s getting cold again.
ОтветитьOn a part 2 of this, can you test the Stanley black chrome kits? I see them on sale all the time and thinking about one
Ответитьi was disappointed that you didn’t have the Menards performax 313 pc. tool set 2441007 or other sets available from Menards. perhaps in round 2
