I wonder what your opinion is on the new $500 sony zv-1f. Although it has s-log, slg, mic port, articulating touch screen it it has a fixed lens wide lens which has no upgradability.

What do you think would be best for newcomer videography? I have done several travel videos for just myself and enjoy transitions a lot. I just got hired for wedding videography...I'm conflicted about what to get specifically for just videography only. I've only used S21 Ultra and GoPro for those travel vids. Edited them on Premiere Pro. So this will be my very first professional camera purchase...

thank you for your skills . but im wondering if you want to spend around the the same price for a camera for video why would you not get a cam recorder if you dont care about still pictures but using it only for video? has the still cameras come so far now that they are the same as cam recorders? I guess the benefit I see of the still camera is the benefit to change out lines for the docent shots you want , can you explain more? also does the Sony here have the feature to have the back ground burry in the shoot , thank you Frank

Great video! Thanks for taking the time to film. Question: If I were to buy ONE LENS for the ZV-E10 for filming narrative projects, what do you think that one Lens would be? Zoom? Non-Zoom? Which mm? Assume I have $700 (or less) to spend?

1. Do you have a video/recommendations for beginner Sony lenses. Where should I start?
2. What is the difference between the ZV-E10 and the A6100?

On the surface, this seems like a pretty good camera. I'm just hesitant to get something that won't live up to what I'm hoping to use it for. I have a drone that I was recently able to use to make a video of a public presentation. While it was definitely amatuer (no color grading or major editing), my drone footage was actually shown on the local news as part of segment covering the organization I made the video for. To follow up on that, I'd really like to work on making videos for local businesses for the social media page and help them with advertising. Do you think the ZV-E10 would be able to cover that? I've also been tapped a few times to get drone photos for real estate listings and I was asked about getting photos of interiors. I really only have an iPhone, but I'm hoping to get a camera that would do double duty as a video camera and something that does decent quality photos that I could touch up in an editor for clients. Do you think this camera would be able to handle both of these uses?

Is the bit rate of the Sony, indeed 8bit? Is that enough for a beginner doing basic composting of vfx and cgi elements along with color grading in davinci resolve?

Hi, thanks so much for this informative review! I'm looking to shoot 1-2 hour long still shots with subject walking in and out of frame at a distance of about 6ft from the camera. I'm planning to use manual focus with an aperture setting of f8 - f13, because the environment is also important, and I don't want the background to be blurry. Plus I am often filming myself, and have no other person to operate the camera, so it's easier to keep the shot focused with a deeper depth of field. However, with the aperture opened so small, I often need the ISO to be high to get enough light in, and as a result I struggle with noisy video images. Would either the Sony ZV-E10 or A7C be good for this shooting scenario? I also looked at the FX3, and that is a bit out of my budget but I could be willing to invest in that too, if it would help me to shoot video footage that is less noisy. Would love to hear your thoughts on this! Thanks!!

Thank you for the excellent review.
I am very interested in this Sony, but I keep wondering: what about the overheating issue that some people complain about? I think that in most cases this camera is meant to be used for long videos, but if at certain point it overheats then we got a serious problem!

Hi! Thank you so much for this video, it is super helpful. I am prepping to shoot a DIY/no budget feature film in the Fall and looking into getting a good camera for this. I'm highly considering the Sony ZV-E10, but I do have a question regarding the image stabilization. Right now, I'm deciding between Canon T8i, Sony ZV-E10, Canon M50 Mark II, and Panasonic GH4. When comparing image stabilizing capabilities of these cameras, I noticed that the T8i and M50 Mark II have 5 axis stabilization whereas the Sony ZV-E10 has only digital. I understand the basics of 5-axis stabilization, but I'm curious how much of a difference this actually makes, and I guess what the difference is between 5-axis digital and just digital. As I don't have access to lots of stabilizing equipment like a gimbal, dolly, etc. due to lack of finances, image stabilization is a huge factor for me. Thank you for your help!

Thanks for the valuable review, but for me, as a beginner, the pace was too fast. Good luck
