Agency Vtubers sign NDA as a part of their contract and even Non-Agency Vtubers are never going to openly admit that it’s them because they need to protect their anonymity for their own safety. It’s awkward and extremely uncomfortable for the Vtuber and embarrassing for you if it’s not actually a vtuber because then you just look like a crazy person. Your Oshi would be happy that you didn’t call them out anyways so just save the moment assuming that you did in fact meet a vtuber because isn’t better that way?

Everybody knows who she is and she's continued with her irl identity as a streamer and cosplayer since lol. It's really not hard to recognise her compared to some famous Vtubers. Most of the EN crowd already have their faces out there and some actively carried on a career as their irl selves.

In that situation, don't ask wether she's Kiara but her alternate identity you probably know at this point if you can recognize her by look. There won't be any contract issue, you may be able to have a small chit chat, you'll know, she'll know that you know, and everybody will be happy

If Gura or Marine walked past me, I'd have no way of knowing unless they outright "did the voice" at me. Even with Calli or Coco, whose faces are well known, I might not recognize them in a crowd.
