What slash is doing is "making funny noises" with his guitar...when one gets the guitar closer to the amplifier, the sonic forces rub up against each other and create all sorts off cool funny noises.
ОтветитьI kinda get both sides of the debate about SQL as a jack of all trades:
I tend to treat SQL as a language I’ll use to get data from a DB when I don’t feel like writing proper application code and I can express what I need in SQL. But I also feel it as something ephemeral. I’m writing queries that I will most likely throw away most likely and which will not become part of a codebase. The query is a means to an end.
On the other hand, to non tech people, SQL feels daunting. Like some of the hardest things they’ll ever use and when they find a useful query that works they’ll hang onto it and curate those queries.
But yeah, writing optimized queries is an art and a science. 😅
I started the certificate a year ago thinking it would be a good fit. I never finished it but wanted it to go back. The video work is daunting. I looked forward more to the assignments than the long videos I had to speed up to listen to them.
It is a great certificate, I will go back to it but I also suggest attending courses solely focused on skills need in the field. Like Python, Excel, SQL, and Visualization software. You can knock out the certificate out in 3 months truly.
The short answer is yes. Stop believing this is a golden ticket to a 6 figure job.
ОтветитьSo the industry is begging for everyone to learn but they want you to have a degree? Sounds like the school system found a way to get my applicants to join the debt team
ОтветитьLooking at the certificate content and modules, I see a conspicuous absence of mathematical content and analytical tool. So, no, it is not worth it as mathematical modeling knowledge and skills are really crucial in existing info from data. I've said it once and I'll say it again. You, Sundays, would do well to pick up on this in your videos. Math modeling (Stats beyond simple description and ML) is crucial and fundamental. No math, no pay.
ОтветитьI am currently in the Google Data Analytics Certificate course right now. I had recently almost completed the IBM Data Science Certificate, I finished 9 out of 10, and then I realized Data Analytics would be a better place to start. So far its really great. It can be repetitive sometimes but very worth the low cost (as compared to other methods). I agree with Sundas, she is spot on, and I will be following her advise and knowledge for the foreseeable future in my quest to be a Data Analyst/Scientist. Thanks!
Ответитьsuper helpful video! thank you
ОтветитьI have a doubt is that we have to pay 39$ for all the individual course or else its 1 time fees
ОтветитьI have just signed up for this course, Im hoping for financial assistance 🙏. This video is very helpful.
ОтветитьI am very familiar with data analytics I just do not have a cert or know it very well. Maybe this can help me achieve.
ОтветитьA short answer will be it's only a shot🎉, an amazing glimpse about data analytics
ОтветитьSo helpful, thank you so much!
ОтветитьGoogle should offer a four year data science degree. Now employers would value that. 😂
ОтветитьDoesnt look like she actually respond to comments
ОтветитьI have a PhD in Physics and quite used to analyzing data in my research involving solar energy utilization. I started with this course 3 weeks ago and now on the third course in the certification. I am enjoying it, though I am familiar with the nitty gritty. I am taking this certification as I desire to change career from the academia into industry: energy analytics. This of course is with hopes of earning more and being more flexible as I see that there are opportunities of remote work with data analytics. I look forward to learning new tools like SQL, Tableau, R, etc. Also to be familiar with the language/terms that recruiters want to hear at interviews. I’m just tired of trying to force students to learn with university teaching and the low salaries.
ОтветитьI just enrolled Google Data Analytics certification a week ago. The courses of the first two weeks so far are too easy for students who may have some background knowledge in statistics and Excel. But I would say you still can enjoy different talented speakers sharing their analysis journey.
ОтветитьI'm a bit lost but so the course is 40$/m, are there any additional fees for getting the actual cert?
ОтветитьGreat content.
But the name 😂
Really hope people realize this insane conflict of interest lmao
ОтветитьSomeone please I have a 2 year associates degree and I have this certificate. I consider myself entry level should I go back to school to finish my bachelor’s degree or should I just continue to try to find entry level work as a data analyst? My student loans are already paid off and I need to know if it will make a difference with recruiters?
ОтветитьWhat level of mathematics is needed?
ОтветитьWhy aren't you pronouncing the e at the end of certificate
ОтветитьI have been looking at this course since I am an analyst just starting out and my local university bootcamp is sooo expensive. Definitely gonna give this a shot.
ОтветитьI completed the Google Data Analytics program and received the certificate for it in July 2023. I am finding that it didn’t fully prepare me for even an entry level job like they said. It gives a VERY rudimentary overview of Data Analytics throughout the program. I have discovered that I have to do more reading and research on my own to persist on getting a job in Data Analytics. If you take this program, do not expect to get out job ready like Google preaches.
ОтветитьIn the capitalistic system we live, the companies only want skills and experience. I have 7 years studies and 4 certificates in various subjects but i have never achieved to work in a job i love.
ОтветитьHi all, I just started the course, and I'm paying the monthly subscription to Coursera, but I still don't fully understand if I have to pay anything extra during the course or after I finish. Do I have to pay for the test or for the certificate after completing the course? Please, if anyone knows, share the information with me because I struggle financially, and if there are any extra fees, I won't be able to afford them.
ОтветитьI'm looking for a career change and I do not have an Associates or Bachelor degree in IT. I am very interested in a Data Analyst. Do have I have to have an degree 1st or can I build my portfolio with certificates? Thank you for this video. It was very helpful
ОтветитьThanks For All Info
ОтветитьCompletely useless. I regretted spending three months on google certificate and learning only very basics. Folks, don't be fooled by the certificate name, rather focus on project based learning on your own and you can learn way more in the span of three months.
ОтветитьI just enrolled myself, currently learning data analysis
ОтветитьWhat are the work from home options for this for housewives or home makers ?
ОтветитьI appreciate the insight of your opinions here. Im currently taking the class and have been but i feel like that course isnt as organized for new incomers like me. Ive written over 40 pages of notes and still am on week 1 but its been super repetitive and i feel like its still "selling" me on the idea of entering the field and wasting time telling me about other data cycles that literally says i wont have to learn it yet but here is a 20 minute reading on it anyway .... I also want to know that if i do all this studying and work towards this that its not for nothing and something will come of it.
ОтветитьMa'am, there are various data analytics undergraduate courses of 3 years and 4 years.. as a beginner should I trust those courses or start with something basic like Google data analytics program? Is an undergraduate degree helpful in this experience-oriented field?
ОтветитьHi @sundaskhalid♥! Do you recommend IBM Data Analyst Certificate? I´m planning to take it instead of Google´s because it uses Python.
thanks for your videos!💻👍
So you were in the course video and Coursera is paying you for this video but your giving us an unbiased opinion/review ?? How stupid do you think people are.
ОтветитьGreat info, thank you 🙏
ОтветитьHow much does it cost?
ОтветитьThanks
ОтветитьI am someone who is currently halfway through there Associates in Computer Information Systems. I am taking the certificate program to specialize in data analytics and understand more about sql and tablue. I am fairly proficent in python and was just curious how an employer might view my credentials when I eventually apply for a job? Is an associates supplemented with this course enough skillset knowledge to land a entry level Data Analyst job or should I just stick to web design/ help desk? It would mean a lot to hear your thoughts on this. Thank you for the commentary.
ОтветитьThis was very helpful. It let me know how far I actually have left to go
Ответитьexcuse me madame you speak english with an awful intonation like a answer machine ta-ta-ta-ta . Please take your time, deep breath and so you will be able to speak clearly, concise and sounds with an awesome rhythm and intonation.
you are non native speaker like me. So then you don't need to shadow the speef of the native american speaket you sound awkward
Can you please be my mentor.
ОтветитьI am working as an associate data analytics in a data team, is this course worth my time if i want to acquire data analytics knowledge/education? Pls help
ОтветитьHi Khalid
ОтветитьIt charge 49$ a month
Ответитьmam will AI take off data analytics job??
ОтветитьI have worked as a data entry operator in various jobs in Saudi Arabia for 12 years. Should I take a course in data analytics? Why did some suggest taking additional classes on sites like DataCamp, Microsoft Azure, or CompTIA? Does it imply that you still need to pass exams on those platforms? Is this course insufficient to meet the job requirements you are applying for?..🤔
ОтветитьFor someone who is just a beginner its must to learn R so u can build up your foundations in coding languages
Ответить
