Lucky there is a drain plug.
Need to do that 10 or more times (and run it off jacks) to do a proper flush. You’re basically diluting the old fluid with new fluid till all is new.
(I don’t change the filter but if you want to you can remove the pan before you you fill the last pan. But I wouldn’t.)

flushing your tranny doesn't hurt it, its a myth, most people who do flushes that end up ruining the tranny probably already had problems with the trans and thought flushing it would fix it,.

But lifetime is exactly that! If you buy a Chinese ball bearing race and it lasts three weeks on an assembly line that is its life. If you buy an American or European assembly and it lasts three years that is its life. Lawyers are clever as are the engineers they protect. In 1970 the British army - I kid you not on this because I was using these items - purchased ball bearing races from Poland - remember that date and they failed when we fired anti tank action on field artillery. That was their lifetime. The purchase system thought they had reduced maintenance costs they had just curtailed our offensive ability. Never go for cheapest option and stay with your own supply!

Typical of CVT. Metal filings are from the plates and belt rubbing each other. Ive seen a toyota vios cvt break down at just 60k odo. These metal filings and there were a lot of them clogged the oil filter inside.

After watching some of your videos and others as well, drain and fill is the way to go. And I've been following this advice ever since 2019. Ive literally done this on 5 different vehicles.

Is this a good idea. With the extra ounces of clean transmission fluid remaining. I want to run it down the transmission ensuring any additional debris are natural removed by gravity from inside the transmission before topping it off with the proper amount of the same clean transmission fluid recommended for my vehicle?

i don't know what kinda honda dealer that told you that you don't have to change the fluid but every honda dealership i know recommend it every 30k just like all the old transmissions. Why would there be service codes that tells you on the dash to change them. Why would they even sell the cvt fluids in the first place if you don't need to change them 😅

Hmmm....flushes are evil. Heard this before, dont buy it. Flushes are performed with the transmission's own pump. The machine attaches to the coolant lines and exchanges the fluid. How is that jamming particles into nooks and crannies anymore than normal operation? Sounds like FUD.

Question, Ik your not supposed to change the transmission fluid after 100k but how much after 100k should you leave it alone. Mine currently has 104k, been meaning to change it but I haven’t got the time to yet.

The "lifetime oil" thing reminds me of when I worked at a restaurant. Some old lady asked the manager if our mashed potatoes were "real potatoes". He said, "yes", then as he walked by me he whispered "real instant potatoes..." lol

Totally agree, there's no lifetime transmission fluid. I own a 2016 Honda Fit, and I found information about maintenance intervals when I bought it and strictly followed it. The maintenance should always be done on time. And you'll make your car last longer. It's not hard to do- just follow Scotty's instructions! :)

Heck half of these transmission don't have dipstick anymore so the regular can't even check to make sure it's full it's not hard to read a owners manual and match the fluid type for the approved type
