You were surprised by this Arizona team? Have you not watched Utah the first part of this season? They haven’t looked very good. You talked about The BIG12 being a glorified Mountain West??! WTF???

Did anyone really think Utah was head and shoulders above the other teams in the Big 12? They will settle right into the middle of the pack. But don’t worry, they’ll be there with most of the conference.

Wildcat Fan - After watching Utah for years, anytime Rising is out, Utah does not win. Not many skilled players on offense for the Utes especially without Rising. The Cats changed stuff up giving Dino Babers some help calling plays.

Arizona fan here. Nice recap and observations guys. I was a little surprised Utah wasn't a little more physical. They've been one of the more physical teams in the Pac the last 4 or 5 years with Arizona finally getting closer to that level last year. With the the coaching change, we didn't know if we had held onto that compared to Utah, but it really looked like we did Saturday. Cam not playing is killing you at this point for sure.

Bottom line, why does Utah have such horrible play calling in the red zone? Why are they running Isaac near the goal line. The kid has gotta weigh 175 pounds. Horrible offensive calls near the endzone. Should've been 21-3.

Wilson is just not there yet. We need to try the other QB’s Zack Wilson choked in the NFL and now Issac Wilson is Choking. This is his shot to prove everyone wrong but he just cants handle the pressure yet.

As bad as they played anyone would have beat them. Arizona made them look bad. The coaches didn't have them ready, and the play calling was lame, to say the least. Utah wasn't prepared with any kind of red zone plays, it looked like. I know Wilson doesn't have command of the play book yet, but give the kid something to work with. Not typical Utah coaching, and i'm surprised Whit let it get that bad with only plays were pass to Singer, pass to Singer again, interception, pass to Singer, pass to singer again, punt, punt, another interception. Pass to Singer again. Really?

The Big-12 is a Tier 2 Football Conference....as is the ACC.

What went wrong? Simple answer is everything. We can’t tackle consistently in open field or get our hands on the qb enough. For the other side we have to invest in our offense. I know we are known for having a physical tough playing style but we need more speed and finesse. Had we played any team in the top 9 we would’ve gotten absolutely hammered. Hopefully in the upcoming years we will invest in bigger play making.

I'm tired of Cam Rising being so soft,hes pampered by the coaching staff,Im so tired of the way hes manipulating all of us, hes being paid nice to play not to be on the sidelines thinking hes skl that, I mean come on really this injury is that bad,with all the too notch medical he's getting from the staff and hes still not capable of manning up and toughin up, I mean he's either soft or injury prone either way its time to play Cam your getting paid to play not to stand on sideline being a Diva... The part that really irks me about the whole Rising injury is that why its taking 3+ weeks to get over what Whittingham described as, "Not serious and only minor injury". If it was only a non serious & minor injury, than this is RIDICULOUS that it is taking this long. And if the coaching staff is lying once again about the seriousness of his finger injury, then WHY are they even coming out every week suited up was if he is going to possibly actually play only to have him sit on the sidelines every week.

Given what bryan has said, that maybe Isasc isn't there yet, utah shoulda kicked field goals down around the goal line
but too, 8 breakups without a pi is a head scratcher

The reason for the lack of sacks is the quarterback. Noah fifita threw away the ball instead of holding onto it.

Injuries and back ups was not an issue last week. Don’t make an issue this week. Utah came with a there chest puffed out and left heartbroken. they thought they were gonna walk all over Arizona but instead Arizona walked all over them next time you’re on top hopefully you’ll learn some humility

Cam would’ve went to the NFL already if he was assured he would get drafted. He is not developing anymore. At this point he is just wasting his time .

Whittingham is a superior coach, no doubt. But after the first 4rth down non-conversion, he should have taken the points. Until crunch time, Wilson played well. Utes did not stick to their running game. Utes should have been physical, established run, and given Wilson more support. I believe the Utah game plan and play calling got them behind, and that was it.

Arizona is looking so solid. Wow. To go into utah and dominate the entire game is really impressive. Arizona is my vote to win the conference after this week.

OSU should have been a blow out. We saw the signs of a stuttering offense failing to put points on the board. As for the defense, going back to Baylor (now with 3L), the defense looked shaky. At the time, first game (legit) and all that, benefit of the doubt, they'll tighten up. I don't see how they even got a #10 rank. They might finish in the top 20 if they can beat BYU and CU (highly unlikely) later in the year.

Hubris was the cause of the lose

They need to move on from Rising for good, and have more qualified backups ready (nothing against Wilson as a Fr). And the 4th downs seem like lack of situational awareness - you have a freshman backup QB, a mediocre RB corp, and Ludwig's mediocre play calls. Take the points.

Utah is still ranked higher than byu even with a loss

Ludwig is terrible. He does not know how to adjust or mix things up. Why did they go away from the run? Why do the always go up the middle instead of sending our speedster around the edge once in a while? Ludwig is stale and predictable. He squandered a good oprtunity to score before the half by not running a 2 minute offense, which he seem to not know how to do.

Cam looked like he could have played. On the sideline, his right hand looked fine. No cast, splint, or a goddamn bandaid!
Why wouldn't he play?
This loss is on Cam.
So frustrating to wait game after game for him to finally be healthy enough to play.

I'm a fan of Arizona, and I'm as shocked as any Utah fan that Arizona won. The Wildcats didn't look like the team they were last year. They lost their coach to Washington, and Utah was ranked 10th in the nation. Plus, after their lost to Arizona last year, I was certain Utah was looking for payback. To me, it appeared Arizona didn't have a chance. But, Utah didn't look like the powerhouse they were advertised to be. I am still surprised at what occurred last night.
