I’m a pet owner myself, and I can fully relate to Ellie—if I myself saw my resurrected beloved pet cat or dog on the road, I certainly would run out onto the road to greet the animal myself, nevermind the incoming traffic that may come at me. Also, it’s a country road, so they probably don’t see traffic coming.

Also—her reaction to seeing the oncoming truck derailment is very understandable, because she is too shocked to see in the way of the road.
