Setting Up an eero Whole Home Wi-Fi System - Tech Tips from Best Buy

I would like to upgrade my Eero devices. Is it possible to transfer my existing network to the new devices, or do I need to create a new network/password?

You don't even mention that one port is a 1GB port and the other is a 2.5 GB port.

The first thing you should explain is that eero uses you current ISP... TOOK ME AGES TO WORK THAT OUT EVEN AFTER DOING SEARCHES FOR ASKING WHAT IS ERRO.. WTF..

NO SHE DIDNT and NONE of theseidiots tell us WHAT HAPPEN TO THE RJ$% to the Caberl modem, does 0this sit in between theCABLE MODE And MAIN RPOUTER. NONE of them mention this. the MAIN MODEN YOU UNPLUG IS THAT THE COMCAST MODEM, because Gateway is the ROUTER like NETGEAR, etc.. I guess I have to guess this

I wear the same shirt but theres a few things missing like if you have a gateway ypu need to disengage the wifi then add the eero.

I added mine and ran a speed check. At the modem I had 750mbps at the eero I got 235mbps and at the other eero I got 230. Is this normal? I was expecting a little faster than 230.

How do I change my MTU size on Eero pro 6 from 1500 to 1420? I am using a T-Mobile gateway and the packet size is causing issues including crashing requiring a reboot.

So it seems the Eeros have to remain connected to the modem/router in order to broadcast a signal, which seems pretty pointless. The second I move my Eero to a designated room, the light turns red - it ONLY works if it's plugged into my router. This is worthless.

Really expensive when compared to one router with good range. TDS put one in my home, and it only really works in the room it is in. If I want to extend it I need to spend hundreds of dollars more for more devices. So it might work well, but is a far more expensive option to do the same job.

So my modem doesnt provide wireless internet access. I just need to buy a wireless router and connect it to my modem through WAN port and set the router up right?

Worst instructions video ever. She is literally just telling us: Connect your Eero and then follow the instructions on the app for 8 straight minutes...

To me, very confusing. Not sure if all three Eero need to be connected to the modem, or it can just plug in an outlet. Does not make sense to leave it plugged into the modem otherwise how to cover other areas of the house? I only have two Eero, still not set up yet.

The EERO app is impossible for me to log onto with iPhone 12. It says that I already have an existing account. I don't. I spent a lot of time on the phone with 2 EERO techs and they could not figure out how to clear it to make the app work. They ended up having me read the mac address off each of the 3 units and they enabled them on their end. I paid over $600 for the EERO Pro 6 to have this much trouble. I still cannot log onto the app. With the system running, I get good coverage throughout the house. I have trouble with Xfinity ISP as their signal would disconnect every hot afternoon due to a fault between the telephone pole and my house. The EERO Pro 6 alerts me with a red light when the cable service is down and I appreciate that function. It helped pinpoint the cable problem and resolve it. It works well now.
