I'm wondering about why do we need so much melee damage on scorpion, if you level his melee stats up it does more damage and might kill the quetzal. or does melee damage raise torpor damage as well?

question for everyone does it work with a frog??

what if my scorpion has about 3000 percent melee damage how many hits will it take then

Once it was knocked out, you could have just shot it with a tranq arrow to get it's unconscious level back up. That's how I do almost all of my tames. It had plenty of health, so the arrow wouldn't kill it.

I went to go and get silica pearls from the snow biome and when I was coming back home I saw a quetzel, I couldn't tame it though cause I didn't have my scorpion and now I am actually looking for 1 too tame I can't find one

Use the grappling hook method, it's so easy!!

I tamed a quetzal on Xbox one solo but I done a different way. So I was on a army then I hit the quetzal. When it ran I tried to make it run to the Mountains. I kept hitting it like once then it got stuck. When it got stuck I got down from my Argy. Then I shot it with two tranq darts. Then it fell unconscious

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!!!
The scorpion only does damage on the first hit then you must wait ten seconds to hit again to apply more torpor. So you should hit the quetzal and wait ten seconds to hit it again. If you go to the wiki and check out the scorpion it tells you that.

There was another quetz in the background so if your quetz had knocked out in the sea and died you could go for the other quetz. When quetzals get hit they fly to 50 longitude, 50 latitude, so remenber that.

Guys please help on Xbox one when you have your tamed scorpion picked up how do you attack with the scorpion ?

I spent a couple days trying to level up a scorpion eventually I got it to about 1k melee damage but then it got killed by a level 127 t rex

I just shot them down and tamed it

just use trank darts with a long neck rifle

I need help I can't find one took me days and days

I got super lucky and mine got stuck in the volcano and I could use tranquility darts and there were no hostile Dino's but I used you're method and it took me very long to even get 5 hits but again I got super lucky and with one you can build a cage on the platform saddle and catch them in mid air

I have tried this SO many times with a scorpion...stung a lvl 8, 30 times...wont go down...had to give up.
