Hearing this song gave me access to memories I thought I’d lost. I listened to it on repeat and then didn’t hear for 20 years… until last night at Coachella. It brought me these memories and gave me a piece of myself back to me.

I've been a fan of this song since this album came out and the older I've gotten the more I've related to it.

I love the symbolism at the end - she has to give up her dream if being a mother (at the time) and has to choose between a career in music and a family. So sad and honest.

33 and just married for the first time! I got my Simple Kind of Life, My Wife is huge No Doubt fan, I never heard this song until I married her.

when i was in 8th grade return of saturn had just dropped, so I started wearing hot pink fur clips on my buns. i was dragged for it. i wish I can go back in time and tell myself none of those kids matter. don't pay any attention.

Her solo music sucks. No Doubt is waaay better than Holla back girl, etc. I read an interview with her in Elle magazine and she was proud of being shallow. People like that are soooo depressing. They are content being trashy and superficial. Hopefully most people aren't that basic. In No doubt she's not the magic of their music.
