Such a same this movie isn't getting the same attention today like it did 10-20 years ago..

I was born '93 but my dad made sure I grew up with old classic stuff like this and much more. And I thought my friends who are 3-4 years younger me went through the same thing as I kid, but when I show old stuff like this, no one of them has a clue what this is.. It's quite a shame. :/

Such a happy scene. This was way before High School Musical, Camp Rock, and other musical movies. In my childhood, I loved watching the Blues Brothers because of the dancing and singing. Good old times with my Dad.

I still can't wrap my head around the R rating this movie has. This movie seems quite harmless. Singing and dancing give The Blues Brothers an R rating? 🤨🤔

But, then, there are other scenes that depict strong profanity and violence...the latter of which, is mostly caused by the mystery girl (played by the late and talented Carrie Fisher) when she tries to kill Jake and Elwood.

For me this is the most iconic scene in my history of movie scenes ever!!

Saw this in the theater on release. Still have no idea why my blue collar, straight-laced dad took us to it when we were barely in high school. But he also took us to Stripes and The Meaning of Life. All three changed my life but this scene is always king. Never does not thrill me to watch it.
