THOUGHTFUL VALENTINE'S DAY GIFT IDEAS 2024

The advice to not set the bar too high is so wise. As someone that grew up very poor, that has had a great change of life circumstances since childhood, I set the bar past the clouds when celebrating holidays. But, now that my kids are older, I realize that the memories they most value have nothing to do with extravagent gifts.

We always give our son (now 30) a bottle of sparkling cider with a heart balloon. If we stopped, he'd definitely notice!

I love reusing my deco too . putting it in diff spots and sometimes diff rooms , changing out bows etc . My hubby and I just redid our two bathrooms upstairs . I just mean fresh paint floor tiles and new bath ensemble ahhhhhhhh love that feeling paint color “ meditation” light sea moss green color maybe celery green it’s just so pretty ty for all you do ! Love the eye masks

In Australia valentine's day is not a massive thing (a little for couples but not for kids or families) but my girl's love laungue is gifts and they love parties so I have started doing a love note and special treat in their lunchbox and then we do an afternoon tea with table cloth and teapot and high tea platter with treats. I give them a card and a little valentines soft toy. Last year we had 1 family of friends over and the kids decorated cupcakes and my girls made their friends handmade cards. So sweet❤ ❤❤❤

Loved your ideas for valentine gifts! When my children were young, we always made a special dinner and served it on my china. I wanted them to feel special. I usually made spaghetti because they loved it and, according to Lady and the Tramp, it is the most romantic choice! We also made heart shaped brownies for dessert. When my children became older teens through college, we would give them gift cards to their favorite fast food restaurants, Target, or Wal-mart, etc.

You have been on my mind and I was wondering how you and Jason were doing.

I just wanted to send you a hug. I saw your last video about all the horrible, ignorant comments that you were getting about your Jason's challenge with early onset dementia. I don't know your struggle, we are strangers as you said but I am now 74 and my biggest grief was losing my only son at age 18. I see your grief and I acknowledge all the struggle and courage that you have in these challenging times. I also see and understand the great love you have for this man who has been so special to you for so long. I like to think that he is still in there somewhere just as I feel my son's presence around me. Hold tight to that knowledge and I hope these words help your heart in some small way. The ignorant will never understand by I do.

I been through the Dementia life weather it be when I was working as a CNA or taking care of my stepmother and NOW I'M GOING THROUGH IT WITH MY 94 YEAR OLD FATHER 😢 Yes! There's a Big difference between age. But it's still going through the Deminta Train Again 😢 I Prayed to our heavenly Father Please don't let me have to go through this again! But here I'm dealing with my Father now 😢 And Still trying to live a stress free life.
Dealing with my cancer and dealing with my husband going through his journey Living with PKD and going through his dialysis.
That's why I decided to get a channel up it's really helpful for me to let it all out and try to have fun at the same time.
