ОтветитьSince you guys mentioned wanting to do more woodworking to build furniture (and other projects for your home), I would recommend that you purchase these additional tools as your budget allows. You have a DeWalt table saw (I am assuming 255 mm or 10 inch blade - I have a DeWalt table saw as well) so several good blades to go with it, such as Freud 40 tooth GP blade, a 24 tooth rip blade, and a higher tooth (60 perhaps) for crosscutting - 50 tooth combination blade is good also, and later a good aftermarket miter gauge, and the miter saw already, which are two good basic tools - you built that table using these two tools! Later you can add a dado blade set, but they are expensive. However, if you want build furniture, in addition to a good planer (12 or 13 inch helical head cutter or helical head type if budget allows), you will also need at least a 6 inch jointer, 8 inch if you can afford it, and if your budget allows for it, one with a helical head type cutter (has the square blades the same as a helical head cutter, but not as many - still more expensive than a regular two or three straight blade type) and a 2 1/2 HP router (DeWalt's 618 model is good), but buy 1/2 inch diameter shank for your bulk work. For smaller projects, 1/4 inch shank size will suffice. For the bits, you do not need top of the line bits, but do not buy the cheapest either. A drill press would be nice as well since you can add, with the proper attachment, a square mortising chisel which will allow you to do mortise and tendon joints (very strong). Just make sure the drill press is large enough to accept the attachment with the square chisel inserted with room to do the mortising work. A dedicated mortiser is expensive so the drill press mortising attachment is a much cheaper option. The primary thing is just buy what you need when you need it, but between the jointer and the planer, in my opinion, buy the jointer first since it will help you to square wood which is critical in furniture building. Oh, and probably the most important if you are going to have a shop is dust collection! When working outside it is not as a big problem, but when you go inside and especially working with old, repurposed wood (dust, spores, etc.), you will be glad that you have a dust collection system - 1.5 hp motor, 4 inch hose capable - you can use adapters to attach the hose to your tools. When working with repurposed wood, one thing I use is an 80 lb. magnet to check the wood for nails. If there is a nail in the wood, that magnet will find it! I hope this helps. Just be safe, and I look forward to your future work.
Ответитьyou need a Kreg tool!
ОтветитьAwesome job! It looks great.
ОтветитьLove your honesty and sense of humour.
ОтветитьSo happy to see you making your house a home, filling it with furniture you've made yourself! ❤
ОтветитьLove you guys...so funny👏😁
Ответитьhave you considered bench seating in the dining corner? chance to do some more furniture building , plus storage. the area appears a bit crowded at the moment.
ОтветитьThat is a beautiful table. I would proudly have it in my home.

ОтветитьOlá, maravilhoso trabalho. Admiro-vos muito.
Um grande abraço.
It's fantastic, good job🤗
ОтветитьVery cool work/storage station for the kitchen!! It's always a hoot watching you two figure things out together. Thanks for the update on the cats. My question is: Now that you're not using the tent, where are you sleeping?? How are the bathroom facilities working out? >> Additional kitchen comment: love those little rock/hole/lighting features. It really popped when you put the new work table in front of it!!!
ОтветитьFabulous well done
