Hmmm? Doesn't all these solutions try to band aid the real issue. The issue may be the wrong sized furnace or ac. Not enough heat or cfm coupled with inadequate sized ducts. Even when heat loss calculations are performed, builders seem to skip out on equipment. Venting and poor sealing, lack of insulation. The runs are way too long and restrictive. There's so many things that may be causing the issue. Furnace is located in a corner and sheet metal too far away. Zooning is a band-aid and leads to more costs. How much for new actuators' motors when they fail? How much for labor costs? In my opinion, the issue is incompetent people from the get-go

Problem with leaving the blower on, it will take condensation off the AC when it is not running and make the house more humid

Today I cleaned the fins in both outside units. I used a foaming cleaner from home depot. I vacuumed out debris and did the fins according to a video I watched. I turned my two systems on. Upstairs is set to 76, downstairs set the same. It is 97 degrees outside. Why are my units not able to keep up? Thanks for your assistance.

You are a genius, That was so simple, turn the fan to on instead of auto. It equalized the temp throughout the house even though the A/C is too large and shut off too soon for upstairs. This really helped. It was simple and free! Thanks

What options do I have if i can't add a dual zone on a 2 story? Background, will be newly built but missed the deadline to add that option and not sure if would have been worth it to be double charged to add as per the national builder. If left blower to on to see if that'll help is there a risk of blower wearing down? Thanks.
