Man, this reminds me of the PS3/360 era of gaming where PC hardware was so advanced that you could run modern games with supersampling/downsampling. I played the original dishonored at basically 4k (Using Sparse Grid SuperSampling) and it looked absolutely incredible. Honestly it probably looked better on that 1200p panel than it does playing at native 4k on my TV lol.
ОтветитьI have an ultrawide monitor and I can go higher than 2560x1080 (the default resolution) in my windows settings, but none of them are the correct 21:9 aspect ratio and look stretched and weird
Ответитьwill you ever make a video on monitor settings? like just a general guide to them?
ОтветитьCan you try this in CS2 but you doing this by modifying mat_viewport_scale value inside cs2_video.txt?
Ответить„Your computer shouldn‘t have a problem with that“ the door swings open and CS2 steps in
Ответитьi HATE temporal anti aliasing
ОтветитьI use downsampling on almost all non competetive games, 1440p to 1080p monitor.
ОтветитьAntialiasing is crap cuz it makes everything blurry, native red is crisp
ОтветитьI have 9700k which bottlenecks my 4070ti. Should I use DLDSR 4k or 2k or even at all? Do I HAVE to have native 2k or 4k monitor? or DLDSR does that too?
ОтветитьPeople that sit 0.5m far from their monitor: 👁️👄👁️
ОтветитьI played a day on 2k res and looked great, good fps 8* msaa, but I played like booty and played so much better when I went back to 1080p, it's harder to see enemies imo, and your cross hair will look different and sens will feel a bit off. I swear I play best at 1600*900 good graphics and things look larger and less complex, but I'm just goona stick full hd.
Ответитьi cant run 8k...
ОтветитьWhat are the first three tracks on this video?
ОтветитьI often return to this video, and I don't really play cs:go; this video explain AA and downscaling so well that anything else sounds confusing and I need THIS video to remind me how they work like
ОтветитьQuick Question, what does it mean when i try to go for 2560x1440 and then click apply (+ yes i want to keep it) it instantly reverts back to the "normal" res ?
ОтветитьWatching this knowing full well ima stay using streached
Ответить"and if you se 'SS' and think it sounds familiar, for some reason"
ОтветитьValve could have made the tree leaves look correct with anti-aliasing - they have a variable in materials named $allowalphatocoverage that they don't seem to ever use, but it makes $alphatest materials able to be anti-aliased.
Ответитьhow to use DSR with custom resolutions like 1500x1200?
ОтветитьUsing DLDSR at 2.25x in most older games, at least the ones that don't make the HUD tiny
Ответитьmy csgo looks upscaled ALL THE TIME even though i run it in 4k on a 4k screen...every csgo pixel takes up 4 actual screen pixels >:(
very cool video though i watched it twice
the solution? use texture filtering!
Ответить"this video is for people with powerful graphics cards"
Me, knowing my gtx 1080 is only barely getting 400fps on my 1440p, sweating the cs2 graphics upgrades: haha that's me :')
holy fuck that dead pixel prank got me
ОтветитьMore jaggies = more competitive in the minds of pros
ОтветитьNow all the textures look nice, but the HUD is too small to see...
Ответитьde_scaling
ОтветитьI'm now running at 1440p downscaled to 1080. Thanks :)
ОтветитьI'm pretty sure graphics settings and resolution do impact cpu performance at least a little bit
Ответитьim 11 months late but is it possible to get dsr on a gtx 1080 at a stretched resolution such as a 5:4 res? so i could lets say run my monitor at 1440:1080 but render in 2160:1620? if so please explain
Ответитьdoes anyone know what he's using to zoom in and view images side by side? I hate having to open up photoshop just to compare photos side by side
ОтветитьThis has to be my favorite technical video by you. You've really got me interested in this area of graphics
ОтветитьGot me a 1440p 165hz monitor gonna try the 4k down scale later today thanks for the great video
ОтветитьDSR and DLDSR are known to add latency. Is there a way to downscale CSGO natively?
Ответитьthe only thing I am looking at in cs go are heads
ОтветитьIt wasn't too long ago that I finally experimented with all the anti-aliasing settings. I played around with render resolution in rdr2 after getting frustrated with fxaa, and it blew my mind how much detail I was missing out on. It's just a shame that some newer releases like Hogwarts Legacy and Cyberpunk really depend on DLSS/FSR for higher framerates, making effective downsampling hard to achieve, even with my RTX 3070.
ОтветитьOMG! you just changed my life! So, I just recently bought the bendable $2,000 Corsair OLED gaming monitor and was considering sending it back because the text in windows was very pixelated. It's amazing in games and for HDR video, but in windows the text just doesn't look good.
After watching this video I enabled VSR and then changed my resolution from 1440p to 2160p and the text looks so much better! This is amazing. Thank you so much for making these types of videos.
omg i just looked into mo controll pannel settings and it was on 3x
(i had some struggerls with warzone 2 fps)
im checkinbg pout if it makes any difference
WHAT MUSIC DID YOU USE PLEASE TELL ME IT'S SO GOOD
Ответитьthis dude could explain how murder was morally right and id believe him
Ответитьwhen you enabled dsr you enabled every single option, should i do that?
edit: nvm i saw u r only meant to use 1 factor
but i discovered my pc is op. runs on 360-370 fps AVERAGE with FXAA, 16x MSAA, 2.25x DLDSR on 33% smoothness.
i guess choosing an rtx 3060 but getting only a 1080p monitor was a good idea
