As a non American, why do people not just sent money directly from their bank to another bank? Why use Venmo as an intermediary? Are US banks really that bad?

Odd question: can I use a disposable credit card? Those that you just add funds and are not rechargeable.

Do not use Venmo! I have $1,600 in my account and they will not allow me to instant transfer any of my money to my debit card!
