Create a folder named 'fontconfig' (do not copy the commented lines)
$ mkdir $HOME/.config/fontconfig
Go to your fontconfig folder
$ cd ~/.config/fontconfig
Create an empty file named "fonts.conf"
$ touch fonts.conf
$ nano fonts.conf # Any text editor you like
Copy and paste this text (sorry for mobile phone users...) :(
<match target="font" > <edit name="embeddedbitmap" mode="assign"> <bool>false</bool> </edit> </match>
This will disable the embedded bitmaps feature for the fonts Calibri and Cambria.
Save it and reboot the computer
$ /sbin/init 6
