Mr. Blaise, I’m teaching myself hand-drawn animation and I’ve covered topics like the bouncing ball, pendulum, head turn, and now I’m at a walk cycle. I’m wondering, do we squash and stretch (at least subtly) in a walk cycle assuming it’s a normal walk cycle? Right now I’m just animating the hips with walking legs but I’m not sure whether to squash the hips on the low and stretch the hips on the frame before and after the low?
ОтветитьThanks you sir.
Ответить"Animation should be fun" true, but it's hard to learn 😂😂
Ответить3 main poses....got it, so easy! i think? :) thank you sir from Cebu, Philippines

ОтветитьGreat Video Aaron Blaise. Do you think it's possible to get Eric Goldberg to join you one of these days. You two are my favorite Disney animators. I got one of his books some years back "Character Animation Crash Course". It would be nice to see you two in one place if possible.
ОтветитьThank you Aaron!
ОтветитьThanks so much! I've been making comics for a while and just recently turning 20, I decided to start animating. This really helps me start out!

ОтветитьCould I use this for an animation work on the background?l I wouldn’t want to use it whitout permission
ОтветитьFantastic man 🤩
ОтветитьI just made the best ball ever.
ОтветитьOne of the most beautiful 40 minutes of my life.
ОтветитьThank you for this. I have a question about the transition from Frame 2 to Frame 3 in the pig face transition. In the previous bouncing ball animation, you showed a natural progression from round circle to horizontal oval. Yet in the pig animation, you take it from a horizontal oval to a vertical oval. So here's my question, is it proper to keep the natural progression of the movement of the ball or is it okay what you did in this sequence?
ОтветитьI spent 10 minutes on my first bouncing ball. This is pretty obvious information, but I'm glad you made it so detailed for people who can't get the concept as fast. Thank you
ОтветитьI think the reason why squash-and-stretch looks right even in less-cartoony animation is because it compensates for the lack of motion blur. This is why cell animation looks smoother than stop-motion, for example. While dubbing a CG animated series I was surprised to see when the engineer stopped the video that there wasn't any motion blur in the render. However, the squash-and-stretch that the animators used (to the hilt!) really made up for that.
ОтветитьThank you maaaan
Ответитьwow, that was so useful and an informational video. Do you have videos on the rest of the animation principles?🤔
ОтветитьIam starting learning now and I think I will learn early by you sir your teaching is fits strongly in my mind ❤️👍
ОтветитьThanks 🤩
