What I love about this movie is that the realism they don't do this now cause they won't want to admit that Jesus already won the battle but we need endings like this for now on if they're gonna do horror movies cause demons tremble at the name of Jesus

After the prequel, Damien was not wrong that Jesus wins nothing since he was created by the desire for power of humanity so even if he or even his daughter or son are gone, some power-hungry clergy will just create another anti-christ like him all over again

Technically he's right...Nazarene didn't win, if you want to count Omen IV. Personally, I do. Damian had a daughter who then helped protect the new Anti-Christ, presumably Damien reincarnated. Also, they only killed his body and not his soul. Of course, this isn't actually explained in the movie we can only assume...but, clearly Nazarene didn't win. Damien was right.

Ok this scene has been remastered and as Damien approaches you hear a baby kind of gurgling and coong before Christ appears. Its the baby morphing into adult i think. I swear it this movie right now is on Hulu and that's it. Also I choose to believe that when Kate walks up to take her son he is lifting up his head waking up.

Hot take, the whole trilogy was redundant/superfluous. The knives/lady didnt kill him, but Jesus did. She barely stabbed im at all, more like a poke he barely whinced at. My theory is that regardless he would have sought out jesus, and it was in fact Him and His presence that instantly destroyed him. Why? bc everytime in the trilogy whether he was there or not, even aware of them or not, when someone thought a bad thought against him either his subconscious killed them or he willed some doom on them. He mustve let her stab him, bc 100% of the time otherwise his human enemies perished. Thus Jesus did it.

I was thnking about this scene in church today (Which I feel guilty given what this movie is about) and as I thought about Jesus revealing himself in this scene I began to tear up. Excellent ending and powerful.

Damien is a villain

Wasn't much a fan of these films but this ending is so powerful and so true..

I remember being slightly stunned that they actually showed Jesus in this movie - it was the series' MO not to be so overt with the mystical stuff, and suddenly here is THE LORD in your face! But it was incredibly satisfying, especially the wisdom to contain it to a single glorious shot at the end. It's also a really great effect, looks like an optical print of footage shot with lots of diffuse lighting and heavy filters, but it manages to look like a beautiful painting come to life.

By the word of God, mr. Satan, your end has come, let's get it on big boy, it's time to get back on that path ✝️
