If the problem persists despite the manipulation described in the video, you need to re-enable light mode in your computer's general settings, not Chrome's

Guys, ik this might not help you out
But i got a solution.
If your problem is regarding the black background screen after searching in chrome, then, yes it'll be solve easily-

1. Search anything on chrome
2. Your searched pages &link will appear
3. Now see your right upper corner of your page, just before your google profile account - you'll find a 'Settings' icon

4. Open it & scroll it down to to heading - 'Appearance'

5. Now just click on 'Light theme' which will be 1st option in the list.

6. Just close this setting box & now open a new tab

7. Now, your webpage will be light themed upon searching anything.

1. type chrome://flags into Chrome’s search bar.
2. once you're at the website, search 'dark mode' in the little built in search bar
3. make sure the experimental dark mode settings are all disenabled :D"

Hey, i just found out for those who are having the issue where you can't revert back to light theme.
You can try going to your windows search bar and type "dark mode" and turn it off and chrome will change as well.
Hope this helps.

Reset to default is no longer available. As usual, Google will find a way to fcuk you over the simplest of things. The place must be staffed with fcukwits.
