No, it doesn't have that. The vertical fins are rigidly mounted to the empennage and have rudders.

Sorry. A-10 is not a Fighter Aircraft (though it has shot down airborne Helos) It is an ATTACK Aircraft. Hence the designation "A"-10.

F15 is still the plane to be reckoned with, now having all it's updates and the future is still bright for it ahead!

The climb rate posted in the video is less than half of it's actual climb rate.

I know the Air Force has tried to "retire" the A-10 several times. I'm glad common sense prevailed and it's still around.

i remember being in the Air Force and the maint. chief let me look into a f-4 phantom i think it was, no room to move, all the lights, buttons, switches, and the stick in the middle between the pilots legs. i mean really, i can't imagine what today's aircraft looks like, but it has to be intense, no wonder it takes four years to learn how to fly one of those!

Er... Hmmm... an F15 cannot take off vertically! Helicopters do it all the time - then there's the F35 and our very own Harrier ( from where the Yanks stole the idea!) EVERYTHING else travels along a runway for various amounts of time.

A-10 is decidedly NOT a fighter. It IS an attack aircraft.
