Worked and lived around the area from1984 to 1986. Spent two wonderful years of my life there, partying and sailing at the Club Med in Foca, mingling with friendly locals in Kordon, watching basketball games, skiing in Bursa, visiting other parts of Turkey and Greek Islands on long weekends, etc. The city was much smaller then, not many modern high rises and few express ways.There was a NATO base near by, thus quite a few Americans there...
