So why is it that the eye doctors do not order medications to slow cataracts early after testing of the eye patients eyes ?...

I think many people would choose to have cataract surgery sooner, but it seems insurance demands that it be at a certain point before they will pay for it.

Ok yesterday I when to the eye doctor and they said I had a cataract and that I need a surgery but they even said that a little get surgery on my stay blind but my question is is the surgery going to keep me blind or am I going to see perfectly

Seriously, Being 75 years old, I never smoked, I don't drink Alcohol, but I do like Ice Cream once and a while. I do eat healthier foods more now after watching other You Tube videos.

I did go through a VMT procedure a few weeks ago and went very well. My right eye is a little better now. I see another eye doctor in April and see if I can get a better corrective lens for my right eye. Left eye is very good. Both eyes seem to be not blurry.

I absolutely disagree with the sun causing cataracts! You and we are being lied to. And not everyone will get them. I know plenty of older people who have no trace of them. The answer is being held back and most likely it’s nutritional. Our food is void of anything good for the body.

Dr Lee, you need to go back to school. You can not prevent cataract surgery. It’s part of old age. Having cataract surgery now a day is like getting LASIK due to IOL.

Why not say, cooking with high temp seed oil, or processed food

Had one eye done. 10-15 mins..painless....waiting to have the other done....its a walk in and walk out procedure...was done 2 weeks (in UK believe it or not..on the NHS) after referal by optician..

Not true about the sun. Exposure to sun gazing at sunrise and sunset is beneficial making sure to gradually increase in time and never looking directly to the sun when it is high in the sky. Cut sugar and don’t buy the cooking with gas BS. This is a push to go electric, a leftist move.

Wearing sunglasses too much turns off the melanin production of the body and that is what causes cancer.

Did u really expect an eye surgeon to shoot themself in the foot & tell u she isnt necessary? 😂 I know 3 ppl who removed their own cataracs at home w/ natural remedies including castor oil & eye workouts. My uncle wes almost totally blind. At age 86 he was a drinker and smoked. The surgery was amazing. He was able to see somewhat after the surgery. He was happy. That was a few years back. Now they have different updates to the sugery. And that makes me very Leary. What are those about?

She said that yellowish background was due to a cataract developing in the left eye).
