Marc is really out here responding to every comment. What superb dedication, and thanks for the video.
ОтветитьHey, great video! And very informative. Quick question, I notice you recommend the 12 Oz pitcher. Is there a reason for that? I have a 20 Oz pitcher, is that too big?
ОтветитьMy friend taught me how to use an espresso machine, but i couldn't get the foam down. This video was great.
ОтветитьI really appreciate everything you guys do. I would like a comparison of a single hole to a 2 hole steam wand as ive just upgraded from sungle to 2 hokes & struggle to get anything decent with the milk its just like warm milk.
Ответитьvery useful vidoes for beginner like me. I not yet own a coffe machine
ОтветитьHey. Don't hate on goat milk!!! Not all goat milk is equal.
I milk my goats daily and drink and use goat milk in lots of things other than the obvious cheese.
HOWEVER!!! Process is key. We use only fully sanitized equipment. Our milking area is kept clean and sanitary. We collect the milk and get it down to temperature as quickly as possible (and I'm talking minutes not hours!). And we don't use milk over 3 days old which is extreme but our preference.
Oh. And very important! We don't have any male goats at all. Those boys are part of the funk of goat milk. If your does are anywhere within smell of the boys, that milk gets funky.
i challenge you to visit us and take a sip of a latte made with our home collected goat milk and if you're really adventurous, just grab a cold glass of milk out of the fridge. Once you taste this, going back to cows milk is hard. Goats milk is thicker but with smaller fat molecules and it's so much healthier.
Thank you for great video. not sure why i can't access it from iran, seems like the website is blocking my country, i know it's much to ask but do you think if you could kindly do something about it? once again no pressure i know there are so many other important things for you to do. have a great day
ОтветитьI don't want cows I want soya it's too confusing
ОтветитьHey Marc!
Digging my new Profitec 400 w/ flow control from Whole Latte Love! Cut my frothing teeth on a Gaga Classic (also from Whole Latte Love), and making the jump to a typical Prosumer steam wand & system. My older model Gaga Classic had the frothing tip instead of the current one-hole wand currently available on the Gaga Classic.
I'm struggling a bit making the transition to a proper steam wand. After practice w/ the soap & water method, I'm finding the milk temperature heats too quickly before I can get a nice microfoam on top and a lot of volume for a cappucino. I've tried varying the steam amount/ pressure and pay very close attention to the method above.
Any further guidance you might offer? I've taken to using a 12 oz pitcher chilled in the freezer using whole milk.
Thank you!
Greg
Thank You! and love the channel's name btw.😅
ОтветитьMan, Marc, you've got a great voice and presentation is totally on point. I am going through a divorce and one of the few joys in my life right now is an espresso machine that was given to me by a friend. I love the coffee it makes but haven't been able to get the froth right! Now I know where I was messing up. Thank you for the video!
ОтветитьThank you maestro for teachme how to improve my technics and give a great idea of how to instruct and practice with my teammates
ОтветитьThank u a lot for help im.begginer and i struggle with milk
ОтветитьA very informative video... its a gem i consider
ОтветитьWhy position the wand so you can suck air in from the outside - when steam is mostly air to begin with?
ОтветитьBlood & Milk = bad fat, pus, disease, chemicals, cleaners, pharmaceuticals, female hormones, opiates, antibiotics, medicines, genetic soups, pandemics, vaccines, GMOs, opiates, slavery, rape, torture, terror, trauma, heartbreak, misery, violence, humiliation, denigration, ecocide, suicide and lies. The the abject truth of it.
NOTHING says: "My life was spent obeying and complying'' like an "adult" nursing and suckling mommy cows for baby's milk(and drinking the blood of the dead babies-ew) Especially AFTER the ''adult'' learns the ingredients of milk and the FACT that normal & natural weaning in human beings is 2.5 years.
I'll have a almond milk latte please. 🍼🍭🙄
I see that your frothing header has multiple hole but mine has only one. Does that even matter and does that have any significant effect on the frothing process? Also you forgot to mention how many seconds is the most optimal for frothing
ОтветитьLooking healthy brother. When I mentioned GNC Testosterone Vitamins in one of my other comments I meant no disrespect. It's what worked for me. Just trying to see people stay their healthiest. Dhea has been amazing too. Life changing
ОтветитьMy espresso machine's manual recommends skim milk 🤦🏼 I mean I definitely don't have the technique down yet but the skim milk didn't froth at all.
ОтветитьMay be best to first explain what a single boiler machine is vs another type of machine? I was lost!
ОтветитьI have the kitchen aid brand espresso machine at home and I like my milk extra hot and extra foam. I can’t seam to get any foam most of the time. I will try your technique next time.
ОтветитьI was curious to know the secrets of Coffee
ОтветитьThis was awesome thank you. Can't wait till my Profitec 400 shows up from you guys.
ОтветитьLoved this video and got some good tips last month, but I have not been able to make frothy milk that is dense enough to go on a latte for weeks. Every time I try it just mixes in with the expresso like water. What could be the problem? I’ve tried longer steaming which makes it taste differently, and even whole milk but no success. Is it my expresso being to watery? I just cant get a good consistency of milk to make art. I have a Breville, not the top of their line, but the regular, so I’d expect it should be good enough. Any help?
ОтветитьHow do you get the milk to be the consistency of "paint"? The young barista artist in this vid is pouring out milk that seems have that consistency throughout the pour. I have no problem getting my milk to froth, but the bottom 2/3 of the milk container are still just as runny as it was before frothing (even though it's hot). I have a machine that has a frother with a rubber tip over the wand with a pannarello sleeve. But I have a new machine on order with just the wand (I believe it has 4 holes at the tip). Can I get the "paint" consistency with both wands??
ОтветитьHow to increase milk level?my ones doesn't increase and is too thin?
ОтветитьI have a gaggia classic pro and always “burn” milk before get cream 🤦🏼♀️
ОтветитьIts nice listening to someone speaking so passionately and explanting so clearly step by step.
ОтветитьDamn! Why have I only just discovered this video!? Really really helpful! Thanks!
ОтветитьAre you telling me that lattes aren't supposed to be so hot you can't drink them for like 10 minutes? I thought it was a bad thing that I never seem to bring my milk up to those scalding temps at home, but I never liked buying hot drinks at cafes because I have to wait until it's cool for it to even be drinkable. Maybe I should start ordering them at "kiddie hot" temperature
ОтветитьGoat milk tastes like goats smell.
😭 why….
Awesome video. This is so helpful.
ОтветитьI love you. Thank you! This was excellent and just exactly what I needed!
ОтветитьI've always been intimidated by the coffee machine in our office, but now I'm gonna be a pro XD
ОтветитьStart from 2.20 for lesson
ОтветитьI have about 7 years practicing and never never can do the art latte 🤣 But I wont give up 😆
ОтветитьExcellent video! Whenever I try to froth milk it always comes out kinda soapy hehe. I'll try to keep these tips in mind next time!
ОтветитьSo helpful! I have a delonghi machine and the auto want never does enough milk so I need to learn.
I'd love to do latte art too. I assume the art is done with lattes as the milk is the right consistency. Thanks for the tips. Legend!
That's amazing. You are so smart!
ОтветитьGreat video, super helpful. Just wanted to be able to do something decent at home. Thanks!
ОтветитьThank you sir! Not looking to do art but just wanted to fully understand the frothing/steaming technique. Maybe one day I’ll try some art
Ответитьexcellent, I love the tips on cheap praticing techniques!
ОтветитьI just bought an espresso machine and really appreciate these tips on how to steam the milk properly. The machine came with instructions that were more than a bit lacking in this department so you were a great help!
ОтветитьOmg get to the point lol
ОтветитьMaybe it’s because of my soy allergy in an era before many alternatives I was raised for the first year on goat milk and I really don’t have a problem with the taste. For me, it makes a great latte.
ОтветитьDue to health reasons I have to use milk alternatives now and I love using almond milk for my coffee (have tried soy, oat and rice as well) but never even thought of macadamia milk! Thank you for the idea.
ОтветитьThis video is AMAZING!! Thank you!
ОтветитьThere’s something different between soy milks you can get in the UK and the US. I used those automated nespresso frothers with the magnetic coils for both (it was what I had access to in both countries), and the Soya milk from the UK foamed *beautifully*, but with US Silk it foams practically nothing. I’m still bewildered and confused at how I could get two totally different results with the same type of device, only thing it must be is the soy milks. Sadly I can’t test the UK soya on my new steam wand to test it again - but I suspect that UK soya would perform better on your test.
ОтветитьTHANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I watched a few videos for steaming milk but your video helped me understand all the facets of steaming milk and it just makes sense. I’m steaming up so much silky, textured, foamy goodness over here that I’m now teaching my partner 🤣
