I teach at different agencies and taught adults in college.
That 4th-grade and 5th grade evidence...its pretty hit the spot.
Sadder part is that 300 mllion Americans can only read at a 5th grade level.

The reading materials of 8th grade and 7th grade is where people suffer and fail.
Don't even mention high school level reading material.

College research papers, data analysis, and literature studies tends to be the part where it causes drop out. Not the classes themselves, but the legit amount of information analysis required by multiple courses.

If a person was a slow reader in middle school, and didn't improve in high school, there is no way in hell they'll make it to college.
