Can this find a transmitter site causing communication inference?
ОтветитьWe are very interested this device, tell me what is the maximum detection range of the signal source?
ОтветитьWhat film did you use to record the footage on?
ОтветитьThe Link to the kraken is no longer working. I did find it through a search though.
ОтветитьIt's crazy how affordable equipment like this is. It's still pricey but not so long ago equipment like this was only in the budget of government agencies. Like the USA's FCC. Or the few with deep pockets. I know the FCC uses similar equipment to find rouge/pirate radio stations, or problems with legitimate transmission etc. I want one but it's a little out of my price point at the moment.
Ответитьwhat was the amplitude of the source Tx signal?
ОтветитьIs it possible to use it without GPS available? I mean is there an option for manually input you geographic coordinates in software?
ОтветитьCan the SDR system be plugged into a laptop and use the laptop display? Leaving off the phone and other devices.
ОтветитьWhat "city" are you referring to. From the photo it doesn't look like YYZ or MTL.
ОтветитьPro-tip on the cable management. Regular hot glue is easily removed from painted surfaces with brake cleaner so feel free to use it to secure the cables to roof.
ОтветитьHi Volks. Our company in Zurich is having a few interference problems with signals in the neighbourhood. If any of you is interested in helping us on a freelance basis, please get in touch. We have already purchased a KrakenSDR.
ОтветитьFreaking sweeeeet-------id love to fox hunt with this epic sauce !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! great videos FRUGAL RADIO
ОтветитьThanks for a very good demo. Have you any experience using the KrakenSDR to locate powerline noise sources? I'd really like to know if this unit can handle HF and VHF impulse noise sources and look forward to trying one very soon.
ОтветитьI have the Kerberos sdr (4 channel version of the kraken) I have a rpi400 and the latest image file. After many hours I cannot get it to work. I am missing something in the setup and there is no proper documentation that I can find. Both myself and another ham out in Australia are in the exact same situation. Everything boots and looks good but it rarely connects and if it does we seem to have no data output. So can you help? de WA8ZAH
ОтветитьMy Kraken is scheduled to arrive tomorrow and your video has helped clear up a few questions I had.. Hopefully by tomorrow evening I'll have located my GMRS repeater jammer!
ОтветитьGreat demo of a very cool technology. Also funny to notice the slight shift in your accent when Harry is around, I definitely do it subconsciously when I'm in North America too. Great excuse for a trip out. I keep meaning to give radiosonde hunting a go for that reason. Its like a little treasure hunt.
ОтветитьYou didn’t show how you started it up
ОтветитьFinally some real step-by-step instruction - been waiting for someone to do that :)
I'm missing some details on the antenna array - is there a proper way to align them with the direction of the car movement or it doesn't matter as long as the spacing between them is based on the template? Thanks
Can I to connect directly krakensdr and windows computer or krakensdr and android smartphone?
ОтветитьHas anyone used Ubuntu through virtual box on a windows pc yet??
ОтветитьDo I have to use a raspberry pi OS, can I just put linux in older chrome book and use that?
ОтветитьIs the cost frugal?
Ответить73!
Ответить73!
Ответитьi'm a kraken, Pi dummy, cant you connect the kraken straight to a laptop and bypass the Pi and cellphone ? then i can just run everything on the laptop in the front passenger seat. also what happens when you try to find a simulcast site?
ОтветитьI ordered a Kraken SDR and just got my PI 4 ready to have some fun!
ОтветитьGreat content 👏
I think im the only subscriber from morocco 😂♥️
Has the manufacturer considered donating some units to the Ukrainian Army Signal Intelligence units ? I think this would be very helpful locating Russian HQ's .
ОтветитьTruly amazing!! I am very impressed! Especially such short amount of time to locate the transmitter. I will be exploring this device a bit more. Thank you very much Rob for all your informative videos.
ОтветитьVery impressive, I had not heard of this before. :)
Ответитьso much effort just to find a transmission site what's the point am I missing something here or not. And another thing you would not be able to use it in the UK legally because you must have your hands on the steering wheel most of the time you cannot operate a phone or anything else when you are driving even a sat nav
ОтветитьCan you track signals moving around you like vehicles? Using one for like a treasure hunt or something like that would be fun.
ОтветитьAmazing device! Will you be making videos showing it finding other things?
ОтветитьI discovered the SDR world a couple of years ago and I'm still amazed what these things can do on a budget. SDR + Pi is right in my Venn Diagram intersection of geeky coolness. Good to see a couple of mates enjoying a mutual interest too.
ОтветитьThat's cool. God vid. Thanks 👍
ОтветитьNice one guys, got my one coming this month, would be nice to see how it would go tracking aircraft vs ADSB cheers !
ОтветитьWhat is this windows sound on a raspberry 😊
Nice setup, make me think of the location found by Cooper in Interstelar but using a gravity anomaly.
May be Nice to compare with professional systems 👍
Also if you have advices in order to hack that PI, like best OS: when I just go for a huge file on gitgub it freeze and crash that little Tandy MC-10 looking keyboard.
The Kraken looks like such an amazing device. I'm pleasantly surprised how quickly it was able to start you off in the right direction. Thank you for the video.
