K1LZ has stack antenna 5 to 7 elements about 60 mtrs high.. But, anyway good contact by that walky-talky radio 😀

Love this feeling. I worked JA on 17m with 5w into a dipole last year. It really goes to show you don't necessarily need all that much power. However, not to discredit your contact or the joy it brings making a contact like this, but K1LZ is probably one of the louder if not the loudest contest station on the east coast. For 10m you're probably looking at something like a 7 element x 5 yagi stack pointing to Europe. However you probably weren't the only one calling him either so either way it's a nice achievement. 73 DE LB1TI / LC9A

10m - the magic band! I remember a SSB contact on 10m in the early 1990s with 10W talking to a mobile station in NYC working with 20W in the car. It’s my favorite band today with great Dx conditions

Nice contact. You can see how many truckers can you hear in other parts of world. 27MHz CB should have been removed from unlicenced users a long time ago. There is unlicenced phone band in 144 and 433 MHz bands in Czech republic, even for digital, we should start to use it too in Slovakia. MINV uses Tetrapol on different bands anyway.
