Thanks for the list. I've grown really fond of top down games and found your video while looking for some others to try out. I'm sure you might be familiar with the following as well, but my all time favorite top down game might be Gauntlet: Slayer Edition and Helldivers.
Ответитьhades is the best!!! love it
ОтветитьIt’s not exactly a rogue-like, but for people who like these kinds of games, try Archvale!
ОтветитьHuge roguelike fan here. I can vouch for Undermine, underated AF
ОтветитьFor me hases Is overrated as fuck
ОтветитьMy favorite roguelike is probably Colt Canyon.
Several playable characters & loadouts for each
A sweet reload mechanic
Delicious sound effects
Dynamic music
Challenging bosses
Fun achievements to shoot for
New game + loops
A simple yet attractive artstyle
do another one PLEASE and include ember knights! looking for games like it :)
ОтветитьI love Enter the Gungeon and Going Under. I've long wanted to try Undermine too, it looks pretty fun.
ОтветитьI love any bullet heaven type game, my phone is full of them lol
Ответитьbeen addicted to tiny rogues ever since i bought it. definite recommend!
ОтветитьGo check out Dandy Ace! Has a interesting story and cool mechanics!
ОтветитьDownwell!
ОтветитьSynthetik?
ОтветитьIt really saddens me to know how dead Nuclear Throne is these days
Ответитьgames i liked are 15,13,12,11,,10,9,8,7,6,4,3,2,1
ОтветитьThe thing about guns in the US is if you don’t actively and aggressively advocate for the things you like, they tend to go away or get banned.
ОтветитьThe binding of Isaac: Repentance should come first. This is the best Top-down Roguelike game of all time!
ОтветитьIs these videogame intel HD graphic friendly? I just blew my GPU so trying to find something fun that i can run for weeks now
ОтветитьI wish the dead state would have a switch version!!
ОтветитьHades is a nicely polished game but the in-run gameplay itself is a bit one-note... and I concur - I didn't care for Binding of Isaac either.
ОтветитьNuclear Throne is very tight but also bullet-hell tough!
Dead Estate looks awesome - great visuals and satisfying "splattering of enemies"! What a gem.
Hell yeah, Wizard of Legend didn't just get a mention, it was in top 5... It's honestly THE game that made me fall in love with the genre, and still to date has some of the deepest, varied, and most over the top build systems in a rogue like. I woulda put it at #2. But for everyone who has ever loved rogue-likes/lites, i BEG you to try my #3: Mana Spark. Tragically one of the most underrated and overlooked entries, releasing in 2018. It has this measured, deliberate simplicity, and still FEELS great to play by today's standards.
ОтветитьPlease play my game Dwerve! Its a tower defense dungeon crawler RPG
ОтветитьNice to see some respect showd to the elders in the form of Isaac and Nuclear Throne. Great list!
ОтветитьCurse of The Dead is still free on PSs
ОтветитьTop Down Action Rogue-like is actually my fav genre, I played 9/15 of the games in this video lol
ОтветитьHow going under considered as top down
ОтветитьI won't support Rami
Ответитьyou have good taste my friend
ОтветитьOf all time? Really? Haven't heard of Deathstate? It always seems to me that people tend to ignore or forget about it. I've played tons of roguelikes and it stills remains one of my favorites.
Ответитьdead cell?
Ответитьthanks
ОтветитьGotta plug Monolith, one of the more polished pixel twin stick shooters.
My personal favorite so far. And there is still more content coming.
I wouldn't have put Undermine as 5th, don't know why but I can't get into this game at all. The mood is too dull, no real fun when doing the runs. :/ On the other way, totally happy to see Street of Rogue in the ranking. This game is weird but really fun due to its chaotic trend! The top 3 is a perfect fit.
ОтветитьMoonlighter is another good one.
Ответитьno dead cells?
ОтветитьHas Vampire Survivors made a list before in the channel? If not, then it’s about time.
Also, as much as I like child of morta, it is very grindy in the beginning, and the combat feels very same across run, with the only variety is on using different characters.
Was the thumbnail changed?
ОтветитьI’m really glad Going Under made the list but was sad to see Voidigo wasn’t there. I know it’s still in early access but it still is a very well made game especially for its genre
ОтветитьBro, how do this many people completely fail to read the title of the video? It clearly says "Top-Down Roguelites" yet people continue to ask why non-top down games aren't on the list. I can only imagine how annoying this would be to Clemmy, since as a viewer it really kind of ticks me off for some reason. Idk why this happens so often
ОтветитьOne of my favorite genres!!! <3
ОтветитьStreets of Rogue is my N°1 Replayable Roguelike to play, whether Multiplayer, Co-Op (has Split-Screen too), or Singleplayer when internet fails me.
ОтветитьYou don't like slay the spire?
ОтветитьI’ve been on a campaign to try and get some of my friends into Undermine. It’s hands down one of my personal favorites. Going Under is seriously underrated. Like you said the humor is spot on. I’m glad you included it. Hopefully more people can check it out. Also it’s on sale a lot. I saw it going for 5 bucks the other day. That’s more than a deal.
ОтветитьDead cells is missing what a bummer.
ОтветитьIm surprised patch quest and vampire survivor is so low ranked. I played both and patch quest is incredibly adictive and is a mystery why it isnt more popular and on the otherhand Vampire survivor quite frankly created his own genre already having his copy on the playstore and steam
ОтветитьWizard Of Legend is the closest we'll get to a good Avatar: The Last Airbender video game btw.
ОтветитьYou knowing you were getting into trouble for rating Isaac lower.
Me, getting furious for rating NT so low.
Just kidding, great video, as usual.
I will likely get some flak for this, but I really don't get the appeal of "Hades". It gets pretty repetitive very quickly and is obviously meant for many playthroughs. Also, it feels like skill doesn't really matter nearly as much as the proper build: namely the choice of weapon/boons. The bosses are massive damage sponges which unleash Touhou-style bullet hell but Zagreus' hurtbox isn't particularly tiny. Theseus was the final straw for me. Whose grand idea was it to give a damage sponge boss a partner AND the ability to block damage?
