10 ESSENTIAL Tips and Tricks for New FALLOUT 4 Players

Tip 1: Throw Fallout 4 in the trash (where it belongs) and play New Vegas.

I’ve tried multiple times to play Fallout 4 and I’m usually just super annoyed by 20 hours. The clunky and awkward building mechanic, the unresponsive gunplay coupled with bullet-sponge enemies, the totally unnecessary overhaul of the level-up system, the weak story and characters. It just doesn’t make for a fun time, in my opinion.

Wow was this list made by an 11 year old? Whats the last one on the list? Guns need ammo? Jfc 🤣🤣🤣

Love the game and have played every FO from 1 to Tactics to 4 many,many times. Here's another tip i found very useful. When you have a lot of true junk in your inventory, drop it all on the ground and then you can scrap each piece. Then in your workshop it shows up as copper,iron,wood or whatever, instead of showing as clipboard,pencil,camera or whatever. This is the best way to keep up with raw materials. It also unclutters your workbench. Its better to see "iron" rather than 45 cans and 6 cameras.

One of the best, most helpful short introductions to Fallout 4 I have ever seen. I have many thousand hours in FO4 and I approve these messages.

I have just started using the Raider and Gunner cages to level up quicker. I have a demolitions build. Grenades and mines are cheap! Mod all settlers weapons! You get xp and settlers die less frequently and kill raiders whose bodies you can loot.

Its 2024 and its my 3rd run

Yeah everything in the game is useful. I went through a cemetery and ignored all the skeletons but bone is needed to make other things. As are pencils, deskfans, and coffee mugs. I think it is actually clever to make all those mundane things actually valuable.

Best game ever

Another tip. Build a purified water economy in Sanctuary Hills, Starlight Drive-In and the Castle. You will need the Science! perk and materials to construct the more advanced water purification systems and you will have to beef up your defenses to keep your water producing settlements safe from attack. However, bottled purified water can be produced in large quantities (more so from the river in Sanctuary or adjacent to The Castle than the Drive-In movie theater but don't underestimate the latter). Then you sell the water and buy all the Fusion Cores and whatever else you desire because you're now the leading water merchant in the commonwealth.

Fusion cores are actually pretty easy to get in the middle part of the game

My first play through i didnt realize until the end that your stat points needed to upgrade each indiviual perk. I thought you just upgraded "strength" "intelligence" and it would increase as you did

My first fallout game, got it with the summer sale this year.
Spent most of my 24 hours in game so far building up bases lol. Love it :D
I also added some settlement mods to the game to make it even more interesting.

Going to unlock the castle next, after I finish up building the drive-in

Can you max all perks?

It's weird but I find it hard to find these tips interesting. I would understand to use all the good things in the game while playing survival mode, literally to survive, but when playing normal mode, it's much more entertaining to refuse all the good things and perks or make some weird challenges like no armor, no guns, no vats etc, than making it easier for yourself

Its the god mode.
When you play the first time, its good to walk around for some time with god mode to find how the mechanicks on the game works. Then start the game without god mode. Its another game then.

Pro strat that not many people know: Shoot the power armor on dead bodies until that part of the power armor disappears before you pick it off a body. 0 Health power armor has 0 weight value, so you can carry as much as you want

I returned to the game to finish it for the 4th time, I discovered that destroying SOAP gives you Oil.

Have really been enjoying watching your videos, you gave me a whole new perspective on fallout 4. On fallout 76 I am a heavy min-maxer and before I found your channel, I never knew that fallout 4 could be played as a heavy min-maxer aswell. Cant wait too see what else you got in store for the perfect playthrough and what choices your going to make in the main quest and dlc’s.
