Alucard’s sword is just insane.

This combo + warhawk + mushroom boi + spite shield in the back got me easily from 3bc to 5bc. (survival mode)

I actually won a run with this combo ( i got a legendary alucards sheild which gives you the sword as well), great weapons!

Help, I don’t know how but I got alucards set without having the dlc and no in daily run

I hope they add the Shield Rod from SotN in a future update. Imagine any shield in your off slot doing cool additional effects after you swing the Shield Rod, you could even give it green scaling and make Kill Rhythm super good with this weapon

still flusters the to no end, that a mimic is basically a boss fight that hunts you down, fast attacks and off screen BS and it doesn't even drop a legendary version of the item you picked.

How do you get the new songs on the biomes?

As a castlevania fan I gotta say: Valemounts whip feels way more like a castlevania whip than the vampire slayer. Sure the crit on the tip is unique to dead cells, but since enemies hurt you on contact in most early castlevania games, you were trying to hit with the tip anyhow.
If you want crits that match castlevania, the first game had an obscure rule where you dealt extra damage if you hit an enemy on the same frame that enemy hits you, basically only used when speedrunning, but in dead cells this is simmilar to how the spite sword works only less leniant and more generally useful.

CASTLEVANIA CONTEXT:
• In castlevania symphony of the night, which is the only game where ypu play as alucard, these weapons are your starting gear for like five minutes before they get stolen by death, and you get them back near the end of the game.
• The teleport is a feature in this game too, when wearing and wielding the entire alucard set you can press v, v+>, >, attack to teleport just like in dead cells.
• SOTN also has a a visually identical set known as alucart (misspelled with a 't' at the end) which is mediocre by most metrics, but gives you a sizable luck bonus when worn as a set (luck improves drop rates for gear and crit chance, yes sotn has both).
• Both his sword and shield are featured in the animated series, but there the sword is more simmilar to one of alucards familliars (pets) because it is a flying sword that can attack on it's own and when wielded (very simmilar to serenade, but without personality)

Ngl to you, bro. I had a few runs with alucard sword, and it plays REALLY well with brutality and predator. Everything just stops paying attention to you, and it gives you time to reposition and get the most in one hit.

Dlc is out long enough so, so I belive everyone basicly knows about it.

I noticed that sword attacks poison like if they apply shield affixes?

playing this weapon feels like you are playing as the queen, think about it, she dashes behind you instantly(just like you teleport with this), the sword looks like her rapier too and just how she parries your attacks and strikes back instantly, this weapon does too.

Brutality rapier and shield wouldve been nice. Imagine teleporting around with Lacerating aura active and Instinct of the mastery of arms

You get like half a sec of I frames when you teleport so the first hit on thornies won't hurt you

Alucard's sword works really well in brutality because of predator

I love Alucards sword, DPS is a bit low but it's great in biomes, just teleport to any enemy and they'll be dead before they can react and the long range keeps other enemies at bay as long as you're attacking in the right direction.
As for builds I personally prefer brutality and I don't really care for the combo with Alucards shield, it's a nice bonus but sword does fine regardless. Favorite mutations are Open wounds for the damage just roll a + dmg to bleed on the sword and you're golden regardless of what tools you've got. Then I go predator, teleporting into groups of enemies is dangerous but with invisibility they just stop fighting back and it helps lining up teleports.
Only thing that annoys me with the weapon is that the teleport can be a bit janky against flying enemies and near ledges as you often end up falling down and/or missing the enemy.

I wonder if spite would be any good with this, given the lower dps and the faster parrys

I experimented with Alucard's Sword a lot during the alpha and in my experience you can use it on thornies with no consequence. I.e if you teleport behind Thorny with the sword and attack you will not get hurt. Idk if that was changed post alpha though.

with both alucard sword n sheild equipped when u mash attack the attacks auto parry attacks with the sheild. its why he swings the sheild while attacking with the sword.

Alucard's sword with predator is godlike. Add face flask and it's an easy win

Vampire killer is basically "fire synergy" the weapon. The cross would be interesting to see.

I had lately a 5BC run with Brutality Alucard build, with Predator it doesn't matter as much that you have no idea where you are in biomes, instincto and vengeance with flask work well with this weapon, went for the Queen, the teleport allows for some cool dodges on her and Servants
