I kinda like how you can die at the starter zone by running into world events and bosses. It adds to the lore and sense of danger of the experience. I came from Everquest where if you take a wrong turn, you'd absolutely get ganked by Orc Centurions, Pained Unicorn, Kizdean Gix, Dragoon Zytl, and other unassuming NPCs who could absolutely one-shot you. Yes, at the time it happened it was absolutely frustrating. But when I think back now it was absolutely legendary. Years later, I started playing WoW where all the content is very well demarcated. The lore itself is very well written, but the sense of immersion just wasn't there because the sense of commitment, danger, as well as action and consequence just weren't there. You feel like you are a tourist is a very well manicured roped-off area.

you are kind of mistaken really. ALL zones can work fine as a "starter" zones. obviously though, some content are ment for groups and may not be doable alone as you start the game, but all other content are doable alone just fine :)

Before training, mounts are basically just a stamina extension. What I do is sprint on foot till stamina is out, mount up and sprint while my stamina recharges until my mount is out, then go back to on foot and just repeat until I'm where I need to be.

I feel like I didn't know any of these.

What I want most atm is a "picked color" for my current quest. Like optic red or purple shine.

Thank you for those tips :) i played the beta in 2014 but didn't get the mood to continue the game, i download it now, some lore really interest me to enjoy in the online elder scrolls (unplayable in other elder scrolls).

I started maybe 1 week ago, and everyday I find myself playing more.. but it's so huge that it's impossibly easy to get lost and overwhelmed. This video was great. Explained things in a way that I understood easily. I have a learning issue but you kept me engaged and informed thanks brother!

for mastering the art of Enchanting, its a difficult journey, because you don't have a bag for just Runes you can buy so.. good luck holding 30-40 slots of runes or even more, also grab potency and aspect whenever you can so you can use the better runes, also the best skill in enchanting is.. RUNESTONE EXTRACTION i kid you not, just level ONE you can extract so many runes from garbage you don't need or want (also if you don't own summerset anytime you get a jewelry enchant or pewter dust just extract it and sell the dust and cry on the inside)

Excellent tips, but the respec issue isn't really a problem anymore, since as you level you receive an item that allows you to respec for free. I can't imagine needing to respec so often that it becomes an issue before you get those items. As far as 2H weapons giving 2 of a 5-set bonus, that was an awesome change. Originally they only counted for 1.

Hey I’ve been struggling with which role to play and which role my specific build fits into I haven’t got a response from anyone else yet but do you think you could help me with my build?

The thing about the quests is that once you start any quest it almost always ends with the start of another quest and it can really side track you and some quests even come running up to you requesting help which will lead to a whole other quest line and that quest log fills up fast and becomes annoying as hell because you always trade in a quest and immediately receive another taking the free spot again

Love the vague description of dodge rolling. "How it works is you wanna move in any direction and hit your dodge roll." Oh, okay, so uh.... How do you dodge roll?!

On a PC Roll/Dodge is not even assigned to a key. Argh.

Another good tip is to read from bookshelf you come across you can sometimes learn a new or increase a existing skill from it.

Another thing I bumped into regarding the 25 quest limit: Crafting Writs count toward that limit. I was doing all seven available writs every day to get my Crafting levels up, but if I already had more than 18 quests in my journal I couldn't pick them all up at once. I had to go do a few writs, turn them in, then run back to the writ board to pick up the rest. All it really cost me was a few more minutes at the start of each game day, but I wanted to get the daily stuff done so I could get on with the actual game. Why make the grind take any longer than it needs to be?

Oh, one other thing: to see what a Guild trader has to sell, open their store and press 'R' (for Start Search). It doesn't list their wares automatically. I played for months thinking I couldn't buy anything from them because their inventory looked empty (except for my own guild's trader, which only showed the Guild tabard.)

Another thing I noticed. I accidentally killed an npc and got a bounty, don’t pay it if you don’t have to since the bounties in eso passively decrees by some amount every now and again. Just noticed that while playing today.

The heavy attack restoring your magika is a GAME CHANGER

another tips:
1. after reaching lvl 10, go to menu> campaign> cyrodiil> icereach below lvl 50, finish the tutorial (dont skip), then fill the assault passive skill: 'continuous attack' to give a permanent 30% mount speed.

note: active skill "rapid maneuver" need assault lvl 5 to unlocked it, but "continuous attack" only need assault lvl3 which exactly where you will be when you finished the tutorial and it gives permanent 30% mount speed.

2. then you will need this tips: this sounds basic but HOW TO GET OUT FROM CYRODIIL(that pvp world)?: i spent almost 2 hours to find out exploring the map even also googling it, in the end it turns out to be like this: find the wayshrine, enter it, then in map screen: HOLD the button longer for super zoom out the map, then just pick any unlocked wayshrine and teleport there.

As a beginner in the MMO genre (with only 8 months of gaming at all under my belt- I'm a big reader), this was instinctive to me, so I choose the Arcanist, and it's perfect for that "solo" part.
I can deal damage and heal, and if/when I really need a tank, I use a companion. (The young human one, Bastian?)
As questing is why I bought the whole thing on sale, I'm glad to read it will take me months (if not years as I'm "slow: I love just travelling and exploring too) to do all the quests.
They should tell you more that ESO+ is a must, otherwise your inventory is just not manageable, very very quickly (I mean, after 1o or 2o hours of gameplay)
3 months is less than a AA game these days, and you play for so many hours, it's easily justifiable.

Is it your level number once you reach 5o (or 6o, I don't remember right now)?

Just done with North and South Elseweyr, and the rewards for finishing the whole thing just felt...so rewarding!
Love the little lodge up on the hills, the left portal of the hall of the lunar champion, put everything I had in there (except the tomb, I put it "downstairs" in the actual hall): pets, mounts, paintings etc, plus my first 2 crafted myself furniture, and it just feels so good!

I did a quest to collect 4 cogs on one of the small islands, 1 character got a skill line, another race character did not? Is this a thing?

Something I would like to be able to do, is to completely remove the quest waypoint of non-active quests. Not just make the icon black, but remove it from the map completely if it's not tracked. I've been accidentaly following the wrong quest several times, because I didnt think about the colour.

Started on Vvardenfell, playing 6 days. I am lvl 30, well geared, did alot of heists, Vvardenfell is almost 100% done. For ES3 (morrowind) this chapter is a gift.
