I find Hugh's attitude a bit presumptuous. Unless something more personal was left out in the film, I don't see why he should be upset/insulted with Stéphane having an ex-boyfriend. There were no proclamations of love or promises of exclusivity. And he also made the decision to surprise Stéphane with an impromptu visit. A bit self-absorbed I'd say.

I always was monogamous , my last relationship was for 15 years. We broke up because I lost my sexual desired with him. Before I’ll see someone else I prefer to talk to my ex. We’re very sad but honestly it’s make me feel free. Right now we we’re best friends but he always expect to get back together. It’s was very hard on my side but I still was firm with my decision.We both trust each other so much. It’s been 7 years that we broke up. Sadness went he said to me, let’s get back together. But I can’t. I date a young guy for 4 years right after but they never get along. Im 62 years now but I prefer to be by my self than get back together and not pleased him like back on those very romantic days. HONESTLY AND DIGNITY. CERO PROMISCUITY.

The closing should have read ...The Beginning of the Real Storyline! Thank you for this sweet, realistic, romantic, and very well acted film ...not to mention lots of cute guys. Would love to have seen a few more Montreal scenes, though - it's been years since my late partner and I visited.

Hugh flew to see him, had only a few precious hours left, and Stéphane still decides that the best use of his time is to meet his ex, who lives locally and could literally have seen any other day that week, or even later that night, or even 2 mins after putting Hugh in a taxi.?!?! Seriously, Run, gurl, and don’t look back. This one’s toxic with a pretty face.

The end sucks, he knows Matt is the one but he is going to make the internet love hunter a little unhappy, if you know your heart belongs to someone dont try to fake it and hurt others.
