Fix "USB Device Over Current Status Detected” Error| Working Solutions| Rescue Digital Media

uhmm... quick question...how do i do this IF MY PC IS NOT BOOTING UP!

Had this problem. I was simply pluging in an USB cabel and my pc showed a warning message about my usb Port. Hoped that restarting could fix it, then the infamous words "USB device over current status" struck me. Was realy worried for like two hours. After looking at my port closer I saw the problem. It seems, that While trying to plug in a USB cabel, I have bent some metalic parts of the USB Port... Well I bent them back with my nail cutting scissor and now it's working again XD. I probably wont be able to use this port again, but my problem is fixed so who cares. So if you are as clumsy as me look at the metalic pins and look if they are bent or touching other metallic Parts of the Port. 👌👌

PS: Please let me know when this actualy fixed your problem. Want to know if there actualy is someone out there who is as clumsy as me haha.

Bro this f*** problem had me driving nuts, I have tried everything, I have even changed my motherboard for another one (same model) but in the end, after 5 days I just tried blowing into the usb ports and that did the job.....

I had this issue for about 2 hours ruined my night stressed me out and did the most took out my ram etc when all I had to do was take a tooth pick and scrap out cat hair from a usb slot. Just plain and simple.

with this you do not solve anything

I had this problem and it turned out to be a pc fan power cable extender had come loose and was grounding out on the motherboard.

How am I supposed to do this when my pc won’t work 😭
