The steam deck isn't even gpu bound that's why there's no performance boost. The cpu can't keep up. You should try an LOD mod, if they already exist..
The game has insanely detailed LOD for no reason considering it's not open world anyway. And LODs these days are cpu bound. You know, the worse for the deck
