Exactly I used cakewalk from pro audio 9 to the last sonar before they lost the company or got bought out. Cakewalk was never a cakewalk, played with ableton live, traction and others. Just like You said I'd get an idea by the time I got the program to work if at all, the idea would be lost. looked for a garage band like DAW ,then I found mixcraft 5, I' ve got 9 pro studio now . Effects are very good loops are fun but the vst,s are awesome it even finds downloaded free vst's on my hd !
ОтветитьAudacitys a audio editor not a DAW!
ОтветитьI hate Windows , can't afford a MAC , so i have been using Reaper for 10 years and i can connect Chordpulse to it in Linux.Nice Rottweller , reminding me of my Apollo.
ОтветитьThis is what I've been looking for thank you! And you guys in the comments too. I just want to record some stuff for my own amusement.
ОтветитьI switched from Fruity Loops to Mixcraft and have never looked back. For me, Mixcraft is the perfect DAW
ОтветитьFellow classical guitarist, love it!
ОтветитьI’ve tried most of these. I can only recommend Acid Pro 11 although Mixcraft is excellent too.
ОтветитьMixcraft is actually way better than GarageBand and is more like Logic Pro x
ОтветитьMixcraft 9 is a simply good DAW
ОтветитьI’m quite happy to see a positive review as well as all these positive comments. I started causally recording music (myself and friends bands) in 2011 in high school. I was a total novice and can’t seem to remember how I landed on Mixcraft but it was the first DAW I used and what I learned on. As I got more experience and became more proficient at audio production I realized there were lots of more “legitimate” and popular DAWs out there and I experimented with a few of them. They all seemed overly complicated and not much more capable than Mixcraft so I just stuck with it. The past couple years I’ve done tens of hours of live recordings with my band, often recording up to 10 mic and DI channels at a time and then mixed those recordings using both the included and some additional effects plugins with great results. A few people I’ve played the finished recordings for couldn’t believe they weren’t professional recordings. I think that’s good enough for me. Recently I’ve thought about trying out another DAW but I really don’t see any reason now especially since I have 10+ years of experience with Mixcraft.
Ответитьhaving tested all the DAWs mentioned in this video pluss some more, i can definitely say that Mixcraft is by far the easiest to use, Whether its recording or midi it always works, the user interface is flawless no matter what genre you are into the Mixcraft library contains thousands of high quality loops that will inspire you, that being said, i am no music producer, im a a hobby musician, i have used both mixcraft and fl studio since 2009, and while mixcraft have improved since those days, fl studio stays the same, for every new update fl studio feels different and you have to learn the program over again, mixcraft on the other hand have always kept its nice and tidy interface, no need to worry about clicking the wrong button and screw up your entire project, or spending hours figuring out why your midi keyboard don't connect, dont spend 200 hours troubleshooting one problem when you can spend 20 minutes in mixcraft making a song or tune, these are just my opinions, but also this video about mixcraft is the best best i've seen so far, make music, dont spend hours in the software jungle.
ОтветитьRIP your friend and mom! Nice review, thanks for the info., I want to record again (after a 10+ year hiatus) and Mixcraft looks very nice. Thanks!
ОтветитьI've used mixcraft since its first inception, I was a 14 year old at the time and the drummer In my band recieved a copy of mixcraft 1 on disc from his dad's workplace, stuck with It since, Especially loved Mixcraft 2.5 and stuck with that for years until Mixcraft 9, couldn't be happier with it, so Simple and effective. I've grown as a musician songwriter along with this product really.
ОтветитьI started with Audacity and was okay for a while but later had technical issues. I looked for a DAW that had a good and straightforward UI. I’m an amateur music coverist so seeing too many buttons was overwhelming. I ended up trying Mixcraft 7 and never looked back. I’m now on Mixcraft 9 Pro Studio and am happy with it.
ОтветитьI don't get what was the problem with reaper.
ОтветитьGreat demo.....& btw I love MIXCRAFT 9 Pro
ОтветитьI would like to know how to use Mixraft with my Digital Piano (Yamaha DGX670.) I get feedback of every key I hit.
ОтветитьI very much identify with your journey through the DAWs and the frustration, having hope in each one only to be dashed on a rocky crag of exhaustion and frustration, having not accomplished anything you set out to do.. I love your faith in Mixcraft , gives me hope. Sorry to hear of your loss. Your nearly departed have played a role in this ..
Who knows, if you had a slightly newer Mac you may have never needed to find mixcraft as I have found GB the easiest and most productive for an acoustic guitar/songwriter who likes to add a bit of bass and lead ... However , when the Mac is away... Out comes Mixcraft .... And some beautiful things have come with it... Good luck to you sir and may God give you many blessings!
(1/4) (This comment has been auto-censored 2 times so far, so I have split it into parts to figure out what's tripping up the YT algorithm; check the replies for the other parts)
I can definitely understand getting frustrated with Ableton Live. it has a neutral interface, without any visual cues or design choices made to draw your eyes to anywhere in particular; it's very flat and even. I've been using it for around 8 years now (first 9 Intro, then 3 years ago until now 10 Suite), once I got used to it and got to know it better, it became the most psychologically ergonomic software I've ever used. I'm at the point with it now where I wouldn't trade it for anything else.
Mixcraft is by far the most intuitive and easy to use DAW. Is so nice work with MC. It's a pleasure.
ОтветитьWith Mixcraft I am not thinking about the DAW....I am thinking about the music. I own FL Studio and Bitwig Studio and they are ok....but they are dormant.
ОтветитьThe a little of irrelevant content in here is absolutely laughable
ОтветитьBeen using Mixcraft for a couple of years, I love it, quick & simple to use, stock plugins aren’t bad, my only complaint is building midi maps takes a lot of time in Mixcraft as opposed to other DAWs
ОтветитьMan I got 9 Pro and gave my with my home additional. She made a hot track off of loops. I should her the basics and was shock that she killed it in one day. She chop the loops so well that she made it hers. Mixcraft has it all. All you need is a good ear. Mixcraft is my choice. I'm not getting paid by Acoustical. 😁👍
ОтветитьIm making the switch from Logic Pro X, I have a professional engineer now, he told me to start recording dry vocals nd let him handle the mixing, well Mixcraft get the job done I can’t afford Pro Tools
ОтветитьGreat video, thank you! There are people who like to get nerdy with the technical details of the DAW they're using itself; and then there are people who like intuitive, easy-to-learn interfaces and want to mainly use the DAW to quickly get to work recording and editing music when the inspiration hits them. I've previously used Sonar, Cubase, and Ableton, but when I tried out Mixcraft I was hooked, because I am of the second variety of people mentioned above. Powerful, flexible, yet incredibly easy to use, Mixcraft continues to do the job for me, not to mention the incredible price and then bang-for-your-buck amount of plugins and content. It's a no-brainer for me.
ОтветитьCongratulations buddy, I also have become a huge fan!
ОтветитьI just bought a new midi-controller - the APC40 MKII by Akai. Do you think my new purchase would sync well with this latest version Mixcraft? And does it have a script or a template for it?
Ответитьmixcraft 9 pro studio is the most similar to logic. They look similar but with different colors and the workflow is similar too.
ОтветитьI use it mainly because you can record audio without the necessity of
an audio interface and it's also easy to use external sound modules
with it. The stock instruments and plugins are of very high quality too.
I have done many productions completely in the box with Mixcraft.
Is this easy to start using I’m very use to editing videos but I got pro tools for free and it’s to confusing for me lol
ОтветитьI got an opportunity to pick up mixcraft 9 recording studio somewhat cheap, how does that compare to the pro version and does that have enough functions to create music?
ОтветитьMixcraft is surprisingly intuitive and powerful, can't wait for version 10
Ответитьbeen using mixcraft since 2016. started with 7, am currently using 8, and am looking to upgrade to 9 in the future. mixcraft is where i learned that the best way to learn a program is to just experiment and mess around yourself. great video!
ОтветитьI've been using Mixcraft Pro Studio now for about 3 years. I used Sonar before that, but I switched over to Mixcraft when Sonar became too bloated (and Bandlab took over). I tried Pro Tools for a while but the learning curve for me was way too steep for what I was looking to accomplish; I simply didn't want to invest that much time in a DAW.
Mixcraft is simply great. Easy to use, great features, and affordable.
how about ableton vs mixcraft
ОтветитьI totally agree with you.....i love Mixcraft easy to use...
ОтветитьYeah, what he said. Let me keep it simple for you. Bang for buck, you can't beat Mixcraft. Ease of use, You can't beat Mixcraft. Enough said.🤔🎸🎷🥁🎹🎺🎙🎧🎼🎵🎶📻🔊💯💣💥🔥
ОтветитьI feel the same way. Sorry for your losses. Keep strumming!
ОтветитьMixcraft is so underrated. It does WAY more than people realize.
ОтветитьMixcraft is a good beginner's recording software but it doesn't have the potential to do everything you want it to do, plus some vsts aren't even compatible. Great software tho.
ОтветитьI'm relating to this so much, except I tried more things: ACID Studio (I was actually good with until Sony gave up on it), different seasons of Reason, Cakewalk, and StudioOne (which is supposed to be straightforward and intuitive). I found myself never recording because it was easy to get bogged down. I only just learned about Mixcraft now, and, ironically, I learned about it in a forum for an instrument (Roland MV-1) that records 100% without a DAW (which I am now turning to because I think I'll actually be able to get some stuff done).
ОтветитьI love the simplicity of Mixcraft Pro 9, but if there is one thing I hate it's the look.
Even the latest version I find ugly.
I wish we could change skins like Reaper.
good to hear, i think i'll continue learning and using mixcraft
Ответитьlove mixcraft ..easy and a musicians friend ..beginners will enjoy it for sure
ОтветитьMixcraft is perfect for beginners, but Logic Pro X, Cubase, and Live are all superior. They also host brilliant stock plugins.
ОтветитьI tried Mixcraft @ version 4. I've been using it ever since. I love it . Ready for Version !0. Btw Miixcraft, Please add a better color picker in your next version
Ответить
