Man. I dont know why I'm about to put myself through this. I almost p*ssed myself back when that one specific herobrine video came out. And ever since then, I cant play minecraft without jumping at every single damn thing. Even normal zombie sounds far away. After this one, I might not even be able to play the game anymore 😂

I believe that intrinsic feeling of dread is because of the loneliness that comes with single player survival. You're in a nearly endless world where the imagination is your limit and no one to share it with.

The reason why base Minecraft alone is so creepy is because there is absolutely zero sound to any location until you enter it. Standing still in the forest zero birds, no wind, just nothingness until something enters your radius. In a cave there's no dripping sound no echo just your steps. In the middle of an ocean there are no crashing waves. In real life if you enter into the woods and it completely empty sounding you feel creeped out because it's unusual and a sign a animal that will have zero problem eating you is in the area. Literally every other game has these basic sounds that a block game never had. Literally never heard any other game was creepy without being a horror one because literally every other game has basic sounds that don't make the game seem so unreal and unique to deafness without the interaction of the player. Go stand still in rust, go stand still in ark, generation zero, green hell, day Z, velheim, no man sky, 7days, the long dark, dying light, the day before, darkwood all have basic sounds we hear every single day. Literally everyone then there's Minecraft.

I think the mod sucks herobrine rarely shows up & hes a pus*y the addons for mcpe of herobrine are way better & its never been proven that he haunts your world from the orginal herbrine sighting a player just sees him in the fog & he disappears not harming anyone or haunting anything

I wish Mojang would make Herobrian canon and live in the game. Not to where he screws with your stuff or steals it, but to where you can see him out of the corner of your eye and when you turn to face him he vanishes. Or you see him in windows, like from the woodland mansions or villages. I'd love that. But they'd need to make it to where you cant actually have a dangerous encounter with him. Yes i know he's meant to be a God-Like entity whos whole purpose is to creep out and harm the player, but if they did it the way i explained it, or like this mod, and made it canon into the game it would change the game entirely and let players have new encounters.
