Hi Jerry.
ОтветитьShows how good Spassky was!
ОтветитьI really like the way you explain this. Thanks. Sometimes I don't get it from the first time, but 3rd time usually helps.
ОтветитьAt the end, instead of taking the knight with the h pawn, why not take it with the Queen? A queen for a rook and a right does not sound so bad.
ОтветитьWonderful game
ОтветитьIn 69, USSR Chess Federation supremacy was undeniable. Fischer, the flash in the pan neurotic American, got the first external cracks into that supremacy while Korchnoi was showing the internal cracks. In 75, Karpov got his first world title by forfeit. Inactive since 72, Fischer did not fight Karpov but FIDE. In 85, a non Russian, Kasparov threw the last blow at the USSR Chess Federation supremacy defeating the last soviet chess symbol, Karpov.
ОтветитьOnly Spassky’s and Fisher’s attacks can break Petrosian’s “Iron” Prevention strategy.
ОтветитьI would have played that game quite differently. And I would have lost!
ОтветитьIf only I knew when there are “only moves”
Ответить:)
ОтветитьAt the end of your video you make everyone a little bit wiser. That's all I can say for the life of a chess player. It's a battle it's a struggle and there's nothing that anyone's giving, just one game that your trying to win. Loved the video. Keep up the excellent work.
ОтветитьThis game is a thing of beauty. Superb Sicilian Najdorf play by Spassky.
Ответитьpoisonous tricky knights = )
ОтветитьGuys, does Jerry no longer post his own games? Do I need to watch the streams for those? Thanks
ОтветитьLoving this consistent content Jerry!
Ответить:( no stockfish analysis, i wanted to see where it went wrong
ОтветитьSpassky is so underrated wtf?
ОтветитьWhat a nice game 👌 enjoyed it
ОтветитьThat was awesome. Thank you.
ОтветитьWhat a monster of a light square bishop!😮
ОтветитьWell... Yep!
ОтветитьBrillant analysis and commentary
Ответитьgreat as always
ОтветитьI've actually had that exact line with an early b5?! And even h6?? Ne6! about three times in my own blitz games!
ОтветитьWow thanks for sharing this sparkling attacking game from Spassky!
ОтветитьThat was a great Match and in it Spassky showed why he was the King. I am sure when Fischer saw this game he was worried about how he was to defend against 1.e4 from Spassky. People say, even Spassky himself said that he was not an exact opening specialist. I think this game shows he was. Spassky preceded Magnus, Kasparov, and Fischer in playing firm, direct and forceful play leading to successful attacks in the Middle Game. Keep showing more of Spassky as there is much to be learned from him.
ОтветитьI am always a move behind, or ahead, depending on the way you look at it. 😅
ОтветитьBeautiful game! Thank you Jerry!
ОтветитьThank you, Jerry!
ОтветитьWonderful !
ОтветитьNot an easy man to beat Petrosian, this shows what a great attacker spassky was, thanks jerry.
ОтветитьWell presented.
ОтветитьPeak
ОтветитьJerry legendo
Ответитьbrillant
ОтветитьThat Knight on D4 is INSANELY GOOD!!! Great game choice as always. Thanks mate 😊
ОтветитьBrilliant attack by Spassky, I see now why Fischer was so psyched out by him.
ОтветитьThe ending of this game kind of reminds me of that magic trick where they put someone in a box and stab swords through it at every angle.
ОтветитьHi Jerry! I love your clearheaded and logical analysis. You make every move make sense.
ОтветитьYeah, Boris Spassky Was no slouch. He was one of the few players that stood a chance against Fisher.
ОтветитьAs always both your choice and analysis were awesome. Thank you
ОтветитьMOZART!!
Ответитьgorgeous
ОтветитьNice to watch both game and analysis.
ОтветитьPetrosian holding his head into the lion's mouth. His trainer Suetin recalls how they warned him not to play that line, but Petrosian wouldn't listen. Andy Soltis speculated the Champ was tired of reigning. Spassky in his element.
ОтветитьGreat teaching skills.not a single empty word.
ОтветитьYour videos are excellent and have become part of my daily routine. Very nice content Jerry.
ОтветитьRest in peace.
