Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Mysteries of the Sith (PC, 1998) - Full Game / All Secrets

The footsteps. Classic really brought 3D to me back then.

I just have to say, the Sith Temple looks amazing despite how aged the graphics for this game are.

When I was young, I played the demo dozens of times and found the original game at the department store, but I couldn't buy it because it was too expensive. I've only seen this expansion pack in PC game magazines. Looking at the gameplay, the level structure is quite rough, and I think that was criticized at the time. Still, if I could have played this during my teenage years, it would have been my best moment.

i could never get past the destruction of the asteroid level where you must destroy the cooling systems while underwater

I never knew there was a game where you played as Mara Jade. That's cool. Kyle Katarn was and still is my favorite Jedi character but Mara Jade was always cool.

Looking back on it, this game is crazy impressive for the time. In the first level, you had AI companions, realistic-ish locations, a wall getting destroyed to reveal that cool canyon section that the stormtroopers are in, convincing enemy chatter, an orchestral score, all before Half Life came out. Even compared to Quake 2 and Unreal, this game is genuinely cutting edge.

If you want to laugh at the idea of soft locking the game, at the end of the game with the bridge, you can force push Kyle off the edge. Woops! XD AH...my childhood.

This expansion was terrible, especially tbe voice acting.

Does anyone know a game that was a character, who had 3 powers fireball, ball (which looked like water), and a green tornado, the powers were selectable. I remember that the levels were also selectable, there was a forest, an ocean, a tree like the one with magic beans, etc. The game I think was for PC Windows 98. In one level we were fighting a witch who was throwing hearts at us and we had to kick them back or hit her with our hands. In the tree level we had to reach the top and get a key to enter a castle. I remember when I installed the game, the mouse cursor turned into the character's face. I also remember that when we lost, an image of the sad character appeared and a countdown appeared and if we agreed to play again the character stood up. I also remember there was a pirate ship and characters from Final Fantasy. Please, if anyone knows him, let me know, I would really appreciate it.

This game,along with Kotor II:Sith lords,have a greatest Sith atmosphere of all SW products so far.

Such beautiful level design.

Those tigers at the last level were a real pain in the ass. And the sith “zombies” were so scary… The new SW movies should be this dark.

I received MOTS for free in a bundle but it just never had the staying power of JK1. I don't think it was supported on Gaming Zone either, or nobody played it. Great games though.

I wondered why Kyle Katarn sounded familiar. VA was Rino Romano, aka Batman from The Batman cartoon (2004-2008)

It really would be great if this game were released on the PlayStation series, too. With PlayStation, you can always get a new one if it fails. Windows 98, on the other hand, is so antiquated that you won't ever find it on Amazon or Ebay, especially a working unit. In other words, if you don't have a working Windows 98 tower laying around and you want to play this game, you're screwed.

I remember being so proud of myself finding that secret rocket launcher in level 1 as a kid. Heh.

This is probably the greatest expansion pack of all time. The carbon freeze rifle, the Hutt palace, stealing the keys from a gammoron guard to escape the dungeon, the mighty rancor, getting ambushed by an AT-ST. Can't think of a single expansion pack this memorable. In fact it's just as memorable if not more than the base game.
Bought a Micron PC in my college years and played massive amounts of the golden era of PC on it.
This game along with MechWarrior series and Baldurs Gate series are some of my greatest gaming moments.

No Crossair ?

I didn't play this one as much as Jedi Knight so I kind of have fonder memories for Jedi Knight.

That said, your playthrough bought back ALL the good memories I had playing this. Damn, I wish I were a kid again sometimes.

I kinda wish they had used the sprite from 2 for Kyle instead of just his sith look. Then his turn to the dark side would have been slightly less obvious.
Also, even Rhino Romano is one of my favorite VOs I kinda miss love action Kyle.

Gah that objective completed sound startled me every friggin time as a kid. I spent all my time running around like a decapitated chicken trying to figure out where to go and then when I did it was always by accident and then BLERNRNERREG

The sounds in this game like picking up items and switching weapons! Nothing comes close to that nowadays

I feel bad for some of those storm troopers. Homies had like 6 polygons to their names
