When passenger is climbing from high side, first they do is step on the peg and grab the handlebar, that's when the bike will unbalance and fall on passenger's side. Seen more than once. Either process needs to be explained to them or just have them climb from low (kickstand) side.
Ответить💙🏁👍
ОтветитьMy wife is partially disabled and has problems with leg movement. This technique works perfectly for us on our Yamaha Fjr1300 after much trial and error
ОтветитьNice bike Jerry
ОтветитьLol doesn't work with a backrest
ОтветитьThank You for sharing this.....I know it's a older video but as a beginner rider and passenger combo this helps tremendously. 😂 We both must have looked like Rodeo clowns getting on and off the bike ninja style kicking each other!
ОтветитьThank you. Fairly new rider. Only my 2nd year. My gf is an experienced passenger. Any tips on helping me gain confidence to get her on there and help me learn with a passenger
ОтветитьExcellent advice and demonstration. Maybe my wife can now mount my bike using her stronger right leg. Thanks.
ОтветитьThank you !😀
Ответитьgreat video man great
ОтветитьJust what we wanted to know now she’s happy
ОтветитьGreat tips! Thanks! This will definitely help my special needs son to get on my bike with minimal help. ❤️
ОтветитьBrilliant I have really short legs and this is going to help me so much
ОтветитьThank you Jerry for the information on the easy mounting on the motorcycle with passenger I wouldn't have thought of it in a million years
ОтветитьBought my bike from an ex motorcop. He taught me the high side mount - keeps you out of traffic. The jiffy stand can handle it just fine.
ОтветитьCan you get on the left on the left side using this type of passenger mount or is there an issue with this on the left side?
ОтветитьThat's brilliant. My wife is disabled and that method would work for her. I ride an SH300 scooter, which should make it a lot easier for both of us.
ОтветитьWhat is a good method if there is a backrest?
ОтветитьThanks Donald Trump
Ответитьtwo minutes, clear and simple. others' gonna cost your more than 10 minutes. love this kind of short video. thanks.
ОтветитьDoes this work for guys with a bigger passenger then them? Almost dumped a Harley when a passenger stepped on the low side foot peg and stood their weight on it.
ОтветитьMount that throbbing piece of American history!!!
ОтветитьGreat tips! Practical info we need to know---- but as men are sometimes hesitant to ask. ha ha Thanks so much!
ОтветитьWhat about bikes with backrests?
Its like pulling teeth to get her to step up and lift leg over seat instead of swinging leg.. ugh
Thank you for addressing this issue, I used to ride much as a young person but now that I'm 62 and my boyfriend is 70 I found that I couldn't get on the bike as I used to old joints and muscles don't work that well. We tried this method and BINGO I was on....<3
ОтветитьI love your videos and admire your skills. As for me, I say who said you can't teach an old dog new tricks?
ОтветитьQuestion -- I favor a full face helmet
Why? Well, besides it being superipr in bad weather like rain or snow. If you hit the ground the geometry of your head hitting the ground ONLY where these helmets cover is very improbable. In addition your momentum will make you slide. So, during this slide and the impact your skull will be saved but your face is toast. Checks, jaw bones, nasal cavities, teeth, tongue, orbital sockets, eyes, all of it is now a prime target. Why water them or am I missing something?
Yes, I do ride. I ride in storms, rain, blistering heat, 10 degree weather, snow, ice, and whatever else is coming. I live for motorcycles and actually get a charge out or riding I to a storm. I love bikes and my harley is my daily. So, I do have experience with fogging mask, using my hand as a constant windshield to remove wet snow, man I use the engine to warm my hands during freezing temps.
THANK YOU. my girls big boned, love her to death but this is what I needed, yes big girls need loving too
ОтветитьI heard that police officers are told to get off/on the right side because they usually park on the right shoulder, and that way they are less exposed to passing traffic. The issue my wife has is getting over the backrests, which don't fold. She's only 5', and the floorboards being forward, and not under her seat makes it even more awkward.
ОтветитьI have a 1200 superlow. Being as it is lighter, Still cool for my wife to mount the bike that way?
ОтветитьA motor cop taught me this years ago. I always mount from high side. It works on Suzukis, Victories, Kawasakis, and of course Harleys. I have even mounted sport bikes with this method.
ОтветитьThanks. Ive been riding for 45 years. never to late to learn how to do something properly.
ОтветитьHi Jerry, I just finished competing in a Police Motorcycle Rodeo in Wayne NJ. Around 50 competitors, including many of the nations top riders. Everyone, and I mean everyone mounted and dismounted from the high-side, (right side). Now many motorcycles fell over this past weekend, including mine, however none fell over due to mounting from the high-side. Keep up the good work and say hi to Donna from me.
ОтветитьKeep the videos coming.
Ответитьalways great advice.thank you Jerry and Donna.
ОтветитьAlways great tips, thanks. Keep having fun.
ОтветитьThanks, I can legally double people next month and knowing this will come in handy.
ОтветитьIt is IMPERATIVE that passenger understands the bike. You need to be a team, not a duet.
Ответитьnot good for all bike Harley's stand locks in place Goldwings and others do not
