LG G1 vs Sony A90J - Which 2021 4K OLED TV is Better?

Since I have the 83in A90J, which I hear have the newer OLED panels with heat sink, is it recommended to change the settings on my Panasonic UB820 Blu-Ray Player to Mini LED for processing or leave as OLED setting?

The LG got way more natural motion whereas the Sony would cause a headache watching it. XDDD

I think sony is far a head from lg ...lg is full of technology but they don't know how to create a best picture....ather hand sony is a master of the picture....i bought a nanocel lg ....it was disaster...the picture is bad what ever i do icant adjust it ...perfect always look like missing something.....

I hate that the calibrated image actually looks amazing when you record it with a camera not too yellow when you use Cinema but in reality, it's too yellow! Just found out using Cinema on my A8H and I have more orange-ish, cooler colors rather than yellow in person! Thought I would get the same exact colors if I get my TV calibrated. lol!

I don't understand all those different settings, it just has to be good, and @ auto settings for the best you send [ dvd, game ] and see, the rest I just care not to do anything but play with that setting what a nonsense, thanks for the explanation

Legend. I wonder if you could do a video explaining the difference between the panels on the C2 42-48” and C2 55” and above.
Especially for Gaming and PC Use.

Seems like LG already dimms only the logo instead of the whole picture while Sony is only capable of dimming the whole picture.

What I've noticed is that Android OS TVs are absolute crap calibrating contrast and gamma. Somehow the software just flattens out regardless of display

In almost all reviews, the LG G1 or C1 wins in darkness detail with truer blacks, better shading and therefor better depth - closer to the reference monitor, which one could argue is the whole point of getting an OLED so it should automatically win a comparison - but the Sony A90J always gets called the better OLED. Sony wins in ABL and bright saturated color but if that's what one is looking for then an LCD may be a better choice, no?

Shadow details are being more compressed in Sonys might be because LG crushes blacks so they show none(both less compressed shadow detail and shadow detail itself)? XD

Bought 90j just for I knew, that transfer to them. I ha e ps 5, but play new diablo 2 and death stranding! And it is awesome! Get hat tv, and no regrets. Heatsink for the life lengevity. Haapy ny, long life for you and your relatives!

that sequence from Arrival really is concerning. The A90J looks awful. Why does the LG look more like the Sony monitor and the A90J looks nothing like the Sony monitor? Another question... why does the monitor and the LG look blue and the Sony look like a shade of gray which I would think would be closer to what it should be? Near black handling on th A90J is terrible. My A8f looks more like the monitor. I always thought Sony gets cheap to make money as they evolve in their design. They did the same thing with SACD. their first player was their best. I hate to say it but the A1E and AF8 are probably truer to cinematic intent then either of these TVS. I will say I would definitely get the LG G1 over the Sony. Its a no brainer.

Mr. Vincent I took a little time to do a little bit more research on your view and the comparison of both TVs dark scenes you used Game of Thrones in the movie arrival. You found these two movies to show that the LG provides better shadow details than the Sony when I have the Sony and the LG and I notice before I got the Sony that the LG was crushing dark scenes making dark scenes darker were you couldn’t see in most if not all movies. I like LG in fact I have my PS5 connected to my LG and it’s awesome playing games but movie watching regular TV shows Sony is better hands-down and a lot of you guys when you get a chance need to go see it for yourself. I also noticed that you didn’t go find a movie that shows how bad LG crushes dark scenes where you can’t even hardly see what’s going on.
Another thing you left out is that the Sony has the ability to improve poorly made movies especially the Game of Thrones and you’re a movie arrival. What I have found in my research is that Sony a 90 J has the ability to take old poorly made movies and shows an upscale them to where you will see just how bad they were made. It is not that the Sony is performing poorly like you seem to suggest is the fact that Sony is showing you how badly or poorly that TV show or that movie was filmed, recorded and sent to the Sony display. So guys when you get a chance go watch other reviews that shows you how both TVs handle dark scenes and if you have an LG just go put on some dark seam tape movies and you can see if you pay attention I didn’t at first until I saw how awesome Sony handles dark scenes you will see that the LG is not handling dark things better than Sony at its making it darker in many cases it’s making it so dark to where you can’t hardly see what’s going on in a movie or in a tv show
