Ответить2023 edition: also ask chatgpt
ОтветитьNow ChatGPT makes solving every problem even easier. Thanks to OpenAI.
ОтветитьIf Minecraft Launcher doesn't want to open on my computer I just log off and log on again.
Ответитьi use ChatGPT allot lately, also a good problem solver
ОтветитьCPU not just a brain to a computer everything inside the computer is a brain

ОтветитьThis dude probably the best tech explainer i ever seen... Man he deserves more subscribe...
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьSometimes, the error message will tell you exactly what the problem is and how to fix it. I have been called to help people countless times. When I show up, I say, "have you tried"... then read the error message verbatim. They say, "no I didn't try that". Then I say, "why don't you go ahead and try that". Then they try it, and their problem is solved.
ОтветитьAlways start with the basics: "Is it a computer? Is it plugged in? Is it turned on? . . . "
ОтветитьI am the 1,000th comment! Wow
ОтветитьI am a google pro
ОтветитьRemembering Nick Burns, your company's computer guy.
"Mooove!"
Knowledge
ОтветитьJust look it up and have someone else who already had the problem and fixed it tell you how to fix it
ОтветитьMy mum when work colleagues have problems 'my son loves computers and always tells me to turn it off and on again'
My mum to me 'i tell them this and they restart the computer and it works'
Yes its not a meme, its a legitimate solution 😂, and it really frustrates me when people refuse to do it as a first step in the troubleshooting process. Lol

ОтветитьExtremely good video
ОтветитьYou can't become a computer expert in fifteen minutes. Computer experts don't just google things they don't know. Rebooting doesn't fix the problem 90% of the time. You need to have basic computer understanding of how computers work before any solutions you search for will be able to be executed successfully. Going off what thiojoe says might cover 10-15% of the situations you run into working on computers. It's important to know that using google doesn't make you an expert, this can end up making the situation worse when you have no clue what you are doing. This video shows thiojoe's huge ego thinking he could be an expert and make others an expert in fifteen minutes no less. To any real expert this is a slap in the face. Big waste of time.
ОтветитьI tell all my friends and family that tech support is just being better at Google than most people. 🤣🤣
Ответитьan addition for the first one. you want 4 things. the first 3 aswell as windows version/linux distro/mac whatever. while not always needed sometimes fixes only work on windows or only work on arch etc etc. while not nessesary all of the time if something doesnt seem to be working add that in too.
ОтветитьA lot of the time I also think to myself - well I fixed it but I have no idea how now lol
ОтветитьI found that with Macs, it's often annoying to find troubleshooting help since a lot of times, people will only have had the issue on the Windows or Linux version, but it's often possible to "convert" the Windows/Linux instructions to equivalent Mac programs, and in the case of Linux, if terminal commands are mentioned, try them out on the MacOS terminal just in case it works.
Ответитьthis video just says how to fix errors in windows 10, however you should say that you use a custom DNS, VPN, updating new security updates frequently
ОтветитьProcess of elimination!
Ответитьthx 🦧👀👌
ОтветитьBruh half of the video was the sponsor
ОтветитьIn case of the television (or any piece of tech with proprietary coding really) if you did not find a solution, look up what other brands might use the same firmware as your brand and use that in your search. (If memory serves, Technik is practically a JVC for example.) It might yield results.
Ответитьwhy don't they have software and hardware that does this for you?
ОтветитьOn the topic of turning it off a back on again when it comes to Windows... Because of Fast Startup, Windows doesn't restart the kernel when you click "Shutdown", where if you select "Restart", it actually will shutdown and restart the kernel. Sometimes Windows needs that kernel refresh to work properly.
ОтветитьHow to solve problems which you don't know about...
ОтветитьGreat video! Not exactly what I was looking for but definitely picked up a few things by watching it. Thank you sir. 👍💻
ОтветитьThis reminds me of the time when I had problems applying scripts to gameobjects in unity and ended up crashing the software. I eventually figured out that unity doesn't like it if the class name within the script, doesn't match the name given to the script, after creating it.
Ответить"Hello IT, have you tried turning it off and on again?"
ОтветитьThis is the reason my friends/family can't figure out why I fix problems in person and not over the phone.
Really helps to be looking at the problem to collect the data to Google, lol.
They should put this video on all tech support portals as required watching before the question can even be asked. Lol J/K
Edit:
This video can also be applied to non-tech troubleshooting.
Your video time stamp is making it appear that the paid promotion last the entire video. I almost clicked off before I realized it was just labeled incorrectly.
ОтветитьThis video does a really good of articulating the steps of resolving a problem. Nicely done!
ОтветитьDelighted to learn I've been a 'computer expert' since 2000, when I googled my first PC problem. Yes, getting smart at net search strings is key. Everything you described, I've done.
I'm sure I'm one of multitudes that learned this themselves, so I don't feel too special, but the validation is nice.
this video reaffirming all my troubleshooting techniches feels really nice
ОтветитьYou didn't talk about exact:
- Googling text match searches by enclosing a phrase in double quotes, which can be useful to find the exact phrase (error message), not just a bunch of pages containing (largely) the same words
- "do not find" terms. You should be able to put a minus in front of the words you don't want, e.g.: windows -microsoft
Though it seems that this particular example doesn't work. It does seem to work for other terms, though.
Its amazing How he described exactly what i do when i have a software problem
ОтветитьI know people who believe that error messages should be clicked away as quickly as possible.
ОтветитьProblem is 100% of people watching this video are already tech survey and not the people intended for
ОтветитьBefore watching the video:
- Turn it off and on again
- Learn how to google properly
Edit: watched a few seconds and I was right. Of course I was right because I googled it (jk)
Many people don’t know how to describe their problem to a search engine. It really is a skill to learn how to google things. If you master it, you can do almost anything. I‘ve repaired cars, washing machines, laid floorings and cooked complicated food. Just by googling it.
