the game is okish as long as you dont put money into it, lots of people poor hundreds of money and dont get anything they feel is "worth it", game is predatory towards gamble addicts, if you cant control your spending then run away from this game

Reached level 55. Spent $40 bucks on the monthly gem packs. Seemingly the ONLY worthwhile MTA. EVERYTHING else is %50 overpriced and OMG is the rest of the shop complete GARBAGE. There is no skill involved. EVERYTHING is basically gambling. PAY TO WIN is 100% in full use here. Matchmaking is HORRIBLE. I suspect it's done on purpose to get you into the store. The AI will ramp up and utterly destroy you when the game decides you haven't spent enough money lately;. All arenas are a joke. Team power is BS and meant to be BS. It's a USELESS metric. If you are not 3x more powerful don't bother playing that round. Watching everyone go down on the first turn is so much fun. TOTAL BULLSHIT... You will get rounds with a single guy to fight or all team slots are basically gods. You have to PAY to remove equipment to put it into your inventory. It costs MILLIONS just to play items back into your inventory if you want to regear a champ. Screw you new players. Give us money to fix your early mistakes. BULLSHIT.. UTTER BULLSHIT right there. Upgrading items costs MILLIONS AND MILLIONS and even more MILLIONS if you get bad rolls. 30k sweet upgrade 60k cool ok. 850,000 failed upgrade. WTF? LAME.
Still can't fight in the Fortress, Hydra and most of the Doom tower.
Live arena.. LMAO. NOPE.. FU.. Not a chance. Simply the WORST matchmaking in any game I have ever seen.
This game is 100% legal gambling preying on game addicts. Do yourself a favor. Play to rank 30 or 40 and then walk away. Level 50 and above requires money and A LOT of it. This game could have been amazing. Instead it's a button pushing, auto play mess.
It's just not fun anymore. It's a whale game. Well worth it if you want to burn $100s a week. Dump it at level 40. It doesn't get any better.

I played f2p for a year and quit recently and let me tell you something raid devs do not care about the player base the only thing they have in mind is making money everything is getting more costly and you have overall less resources, doing events is always a net negative for your account and the drop rates are the lowest for all the games i have played, the most important thing is the time problem you have to do
al least 2-3 hours of gameplay to complete the dailies anything else comes after that and the reward you get are chump change would not recommend anyone to get down this rabbit hole.🙂

One thing I like about Summoners war is after they end a collab, they offer the champions skills on a champion they create.

Heck no it isn't worth starting today. When I got into it in 2021 it was barely worth it and the main thing that did make it worth it were the fusions. If you put effort in (and early game it took everything with no time for anything between fusions except preparing for the next) then you could get a bunch of characters. The first fusion I did was Brogni that everyone was saying was SOOOOO HAAARRRRDDDDD!!!! Brogni would be the easiest fusion of the past year if it came out today. The whole concept of fusions is that if people engage in the game they get the reward. Plarium has been moving against that since 2021. BGE when he was still making videos was documenting this back in the summer of '21 about how the silver and energy costs were rising a lot. Those never stopped rising and then the shard costs started rising as well.

Is Raid worth playing in 2023? Short answer no, I would not recommend to a friend to start an account.

Very long answer:

1. Not f2p friendly. Can be played f2p but no catchup mechanics. You will always be at a disadvantage, especially in PvP. This is meant to be a PvE game and most people want to just do that, but they can't, as PvE improvements (Great Hall) is trapped behind PvP wall. Ergo, you lose by default, or you spend more time (years) doing something you do not want to do to be able to do what you really want to do at maximum possibilities.

2. Plarium have a set it, and forget it attitude to all of their game. Market, Tavern, Champ trader, 3x3 arena, classic arena etc. They will not improve anything. All QoL changes that have been pointed out to them relentlessly take years to be implemented, and some still have not. I have extracted a tooth with a pair of pliers (COVID Lockdown) and that was less painful than getting Plarium to do Qol.

3. This is a pay to win game. Anyone saying it isn't, obviously imo, either are blind to what is happening, has happened, or have all the time in the world, for whatever reason, to play this game all day, every day, so they can do all the content and keep up with Raids ever growing demands on time and resources.

3. Time and resources needed to play this game has, A. grown exponentially with all the content added. B. The resource value has stayed stagnant (energy), Backpack has stayed the same as more dungeons/artifact sets are introduced, or resources gone up through unnatural growth (hyperinflation), and has been hyperinflated for a year now and shows no sign of stopping anytime soon.

4. Plarium are in "Pure Profit Mode" that is code for, rinse everyone for as much as we can get, as game has peaked and will start to decline, in Plarium's (Aristocrat Leisure) eyes. As previous point, pointed out the Hyperinflation e.g cost of packs spiral upwards, resources dropped (leggo/epic books replaced with crappy RNG chests).

5. Resource rewards values raised in tournaments/events inside and outside of frag/fusion events, month, on month.

6. Frag/fusion events limits new f2p and low/medium payers to 2/3 events a year with resource hyperinflation, and cost. Both shard events must now be completed to attain champ. New players feel left behind, and they are. Frags have been removed from pool altogether. Was 155, now 150 which has forced people to do both summon rush, and champ chase, or win tournament/events, which led to rearranging of fusions to do the same thing, locking 1 champ behind a summon rush/champ chase wall.

7. All new content is geared towards the Whale/Krakens. I don't need to list them all, just go from Hydra CB upwards. No improvements, or additions/accessibility for new/newish players. It's not that these dungeons/areas are natural progression to the game, they are simply bolt-on dungeons and can be adjusted for all players if they had the will to do so.

8. The constant shard events are nauseatingly gross money grabs aimed at the Whales/Krakens, collectors, addicted, and just plain stupid people. If you pull in these events once a week, you fall into one of those categories. For those with money to burn, this is not a problem, they can do with their money what they wish, it's no one else's concern. For the stupid, hopefully they will wise up soon. Collectors just love a new shiny champ. The biggest concern for me is that there are many gambling addicts out there caught up in a spiral of shard event, after shard event, and now they've just added soulstone events too, which will exacerbate this problem.

9. Soulstone's and blessings have now got their own event/tournaments, with horrendous odds and reward thresholds. Amount needed to get all the rewards in their first summon rush with a value of $56 (Chosen calculator, Aftershock), you would have to have spent $150. These will, and I have no doubt, leak into frag/fusion events sometime early/mid next year 2024.

10. No imagination in building the game i.e. introduce new soulstone tournament/events that are exactly the same as regular tournaments/events for shards. This lack of imagination does not engage older players, and newer players just say "so what" to events they can't participate in, and are not likely to ever do so, as they have no entertainment value. psychologically, if you do not have variety in game modes, you just don't ever do them. Not universal of course, but majority of people. Why do a brand new, and potentially exciting event for soulstones, oh yeah, it's a nauseatingly gross money grab aimed at the Whales/Krakens, collectors, addicted, and just plain stupid people, so why do something new for players to enjoy, and costs money to develop, when you have a perfectly awful event already that you can copy and paste.

I could double this list with ease, and some. However, this is just 10 reasons why I would not recommend Raid to anyone, and unless some earthshattering happens within Plarium, I never will. Plus Fateless, is only 2ish years away, and hopefully HH will stay true to his gamer's heart and put out a game that will send Raid into the annals of history.

You want to know if it's worth playing in 2023? It's worth PLAYING. Just don't expect to win anything. If you think a game is only worth playing if you can win some day, stop gaming. Just stop.

I just got back into Raid's granddaddy Summoner War recently and it's still had a large influx of players in 2023 despite being almost 3 times as old as Raid, so this kind of game still has appeal if you know exactly what you want out of it.

Fair overview & I think the biggest problem for newer players is the bloated champ pool. Duchess & co are complete game changers but the chance to pull those champs now compared to back then is ridiculous. The game is definitely playable as F2P though, as long as your expectations are kept in check.

I wish you were independent Ytuber so y can say the truth, but yr main and ONLY content is RSL and your opinion is kinda PAID2SAY, the game is in terrible condition unless your playing for 1+ year of struggle of getting some rewards FOR YOUR TIME INVESTED! People who invest money struggle more than F2P. If you go in DETAILS for everything that you said about the game, you gonna realise THAT YOUR WORDS ARE DELUSIONAL about this game being worth !!!

No. Id never want to start now. Fusions are costing so much more nowadays than they used to even for bad champions like the cow. The rewards you get for playing this game are getting cut You used to get guaranteed rewards and now they have these stupid chests that give you 50k silver or 100k silver compared to what you used to get.
The progression system in the game is all messed up hard mode dungeons still drop absolute garbage 95% of the time even though you need endgame gear and champions to clear them. PvP is the worst that it has ever been because of blessings and polymorph and stone skin. It used to be bad enough to have to deal with Swift Perry and reaction but now you just have no idea what you're going to be coming up against and even if you have a buff stripper it's a 50/50 coin flip.
Everything takes too much time and gives little to no reward for your time. Then if you want to spend money on the game well good luck You might as well burn your $20 because that's about what you'll receive from spending money on this game. Everything is ridiculously overpriced.

I'm just hoping one day they will make Ninja accessible again...

The rewards in the dungeons need to be tweaked. Hard mode dungeons should not be dropping 5* Rare gears.

Im mostly free to play (if people give me gift cards I may buy a pack with those) the game is totally doable as free to play I wish there was a way withing gameplay to farm up energy even if it was a mindless wave attack or something that way spenders could bypass it and still get energy with pots but people with the time to spend could do something to get energy. Honestly Id be more apt to spend if energy was less an issue sometimes I view shards as a huge energy dump cause I know that means a ton of time level farming and masteries. With energy (and silver by extension) as less of an issue Id view shards as a chance at bigger content and more fun. And at that point fashion would be somewhere more people would spend on if they added more skins (and dropped their price a bit).

i think the game is dead. 2 of most meta champs are not available for everybody but just for old accounts. why should you start a game when u cant have ninja/ronda. remove them from the game or add it to every account through milestones. many people cant even see how much it sucks off of your money. if you start today the whole journey is designed that you can spend 50.000 dollar within a month and you still cant fill all the holes you want to fill... its just sad. plus shard pulling is a scam. there is about 10% of champs in the pool of almost 1000 that are competent and 1% that is s tier. you would win a lottery easier than getting a full roster of meta champs for arena. thats the truth of arena for everybody who thinks about getting into raid. there arent even real guides on the latest fusions unless its one with a decent kit. people dont know where to use most of the fusions even the ccs cant make the abstract description working. new content is placed poorly and buggy we have a whole wave of not relevant videos for spider hard, iron twin blockdmg tunes etc etc etc. recently chaning strong sets like frenzy into pointless one that absolutely makes no sense and is now considered trash set where before was a lowkey but strongest pve set in my opinion on specific kits it made you unkillable if you had the stats in the threshold for the needed content. constantly adding shadow nerfs people/cc/nerds cant keep up with the amount of finding bugs/reporting those. community is great but its because of the targeted audience everybody hates plarium and sees they are taking advantage of their playerbase many times. like creating non stop fomo like ninja, ronda, elva 20 sacred shards price raise. posting wrong information about ingame mechanics as an tutorial screenshot by official mods in discord and when you ask to correct it remove it they say you could photoshop correct it yourself and post for all XD.

Lot of my friends quit playing and i may quit playing as well very time consuming to much crap to do i yhink HH just made a video of him not even able to do the gnut fusion csuse he took a day off or so.

There's to much Todo, not enough rewards for average players. new players get stacked but they'll hit the walls twice as fast so overall gets old real fast. Te game is hitting the wallet harder and as I mentioned the rewards get worse by the minute.

I think the problem is the live arena. Before there were no balancing problems, or at least they weren't noticeable. Now, however, you're against players who have better champions, blessings, builds... because they spend more, and that can be a frustrating and unskilled experience for many players.

I think your looking at it from your point of view, and not an actuall new players. As a new player your going to hit a wall and they really dont do much from you at the start if you dont already know what you should be doing. As well as being mainly and auto play game just wonder where the fun is for new players?
