Color not showing up in chat/ only showing up in tab? Here's a fix!
If you're on a non-vanilla server, there's a good chance you've encountered this issue! This fix only applies to PaperSpigot (which you should be running anyway in 99% of cases). In the config/paper-world-defaults.yml file of your server, change use-vanilla-world-scoreboard-name-coloring to true . This will make the name colors get handled by vanilla teams!



edit: I went through and replied a copy of this message to everyone who had commented about it previously, so if you're back on this video because of that: hi again ;^)
edit2: changed spigot.yml to paper.yml because im an objectiveless scoreboard
edit3: changed paper.yml to paper-world-defaults.yml because they split the files up.

How could I make an area only a specific team can enter? Like a chunk or set area only team “blue” can enter but not team “red”

Question if you are on one team is friendly fire enabled for that team like can you attack the other players on that team or is the friendly fire off

An absolute incredible of a tutorial but i cannot figure out how to /kill a certain team. Here is my situation, i want shulkers to be my security so i put them into team "sector1", "sector2", "sector 3", "sector4". But i soon realize at some point they will teleport away so how do i solve that, it is not possible to do it in vanilla minecraft so my other option is to /kill so how should my command be to kill shulkers on specific sectors and how can i make them not hurting the visitor. It would be great if you reply with an answer, i will let you visit my world to see the progress.

This is not true at all I’ve tryed the command and it just says unknown command team please check that the command exists and that you have permission to use it and i am the one who made the world and it’s only me on my world

Bruh I dont get why you arent getting more views, but I think its just that most minecraft players cant be bothered with commands. Im a cs majors so commands are the most fascinating to me. Yet ppl are more obsessed about pvp, redstone, or building :'( when the true treasure lies in commands.

I have this pvp game with my friends where there is a red and blue team, I tried some scoreboard stuff to make it to where when one team had a certain amount of deaths(at the time it had to be manually changed but we have just starting using /kill) a title would be displayed then the winning team would return to lobby, my problem is that I cant figure out how scoreboards and teams interact. any help appreciated .
