for better recording only select the 720p option, this than allows you to record in 60FPS instead of 30 fps

My black screen doesn't go away.. I hold down on the PS3 power button and nothing changed. It still reads No Signal. Same goes with the El Gato. Both read No Signal.

Only just got my elgato and had a bit of a blonde moment. This video was exactly what I wanted. It was short , concise and straight to the point. Brilliant :)

I went back on my ps3 to play some bo2 and wanted to get the footage but I had forgotten you needed a different cable from an HDMI and had misplaced my AV cable. I got my cable and just couldn't get it to display but this video really helped! Thank you :) It all works now.

I have a question too anyone . Who knows what to do ok . I have a el gato hd and on my ps3 . They say I have to change the display setting . Without me hooking up my multi color cords . On the back of my tv . In order for it to work . Now I watch the video can I still . Record my videos with the multi color cords . When I use the el gato without the multi cords . It some times jump to 480p . When in my edit menu it reads 720 p??? The way you did it in the video . Is that the right way I don't want my videos to run slow . Some one let me know .
