Dude seriously.... thank you
Ответитьah nice explained but you should add the scenario where you don't have access to he-3 on the planet where your base is :)
ОтветитьAll of this will be useless because they have a bug in outpost landing mechanism, so ur transfer station will also be useless because the ship will be landed beyond 300 meter transfer radius.
Your video is good, the theorie is sound, its just the landing ship is not working.
Hello, thank you for the scheme, it helps a lot.
I found that, in order to unclog the green container from the link that fills for whatever reason, you have to set a bunch of extra containers and link them this way : green cont. > extra cont. > (red cont. + transfer container). Seems to work for me, I just set a new outpost and tested it, and it worked. Deleting and replacing interlink doesn't to be necessary anymore :) .
But I just read the comment from @wcs9284 about the transfer container, and I think it's a good idea to invert the flow like he said for a better QoL (setting the link FROM the transfer cont. to other containers in order to sort your things quickly).
But I'm concerned about the fact that, in the scheme you showed, you go from the normal cont. to the transfer one. I just changed that in my outpost, and it does not seems to disturb the whole chain of transport, but it doesn't make the resources move from their last to the first cont. in the chain anymore.
Not sure if I'm clear enough, don't hesitate to tell me.
HF.
My game has been bugged so bad since linking my outposts this was the best help today to fix everything besides starting a whole new game. Game was glitched and freezing at all times.
ОтветитьI have both ends of my inter system links powered with H3 using 2nd method you mentioned. Site A gathers H3 and powers the cargo link, it also sends the H3 to site B to power it. I have the incoming H3 at site B stored, and then linked from the storage back into the cargo links fuel tank.
The issue I run into consistently is the incoming side of the cargo links at site A (incoming should be resources from site B) gets filled with H3. Once I go and physically remove the H3 from the incoming side, it seems to work temporarily, I haven’t fully tested, but it does seem to bottleneck at some point after that.
In reality I have site A, B, and C s as well as A1 (same system cargo link). The only one that works consistently is the same system link.
Thank you for breaking it down for a dummy like me, I can totally 'cargo link and transfer' now because of you, you made me a cargo master! 😂
Thank you!😄👍
Do you have a good system to output Helium to an outpost that doesn't have any? But needs helium to output other materials from a non-helium outpost.
ОтветитьThis video and explanation is extremely clear and concise. Couldn't ask for anything better. Thanks a ton!
ОтветитьThank you for the concise yet complete explanation.
ОтветитьThank you for this toturial🙏👌👍😁
ОтветитьSo, I made two outposts on different planets, and two on the same planet. The one on the same planet links together.. However, the one planet number two dosnt show up when I try to link them... Ideas?
ОтветитьGood info
ОтветитьWhen you check the cargo link's console what does the green check mark mean that's to the right of each listed resource? (And thank you. This definitely helped me get started. I have a massive daisy chained supply chain going now!)
ОтветитьHonestly?
The more i dig into certain "Mechanics" of this game, the more i realize that it is just one constant big mess.
The Cargolink system feels like an 8 year old designed it.
It does not realy meet the requirements that i need it to fullfil, only with great struggle.
Why cant i just route all resources direct to one point?
And the worst part:
There is no way to make sure that all the different resources are delivered in equal quantity. At some point, stuff that istn use will start to choke the entire srorage system.
One of the problems i have is finding the first storage container i made thats linked to about 20 others...if you dont link the transfer to the first one then it doesnt fill right...such a bad system that needs refining
ОтветитьVery helpful thanks
ОтветитьMy links stay bugged even after deleting them several times. I'm livid.
Ответитьdefinitely helpful, but there are still some things I feel would need to be explained. for example when you use the mission board some missions require you to create a supply line to a certain planet. Do you do this by creating an outpost on the planet in question to receive goods or is there a way to do this without having to create additional outposts? how long does an outpost need to stay active before you can destroy it if it requires you to create an outpost on said planet if the mission isn't completed immediately? I have a few others but can't remember at this time so I will follow up with additional questions in the replies as I remember them.
ОтветитьThis is dumb. The people that made the outpost system should be fired. I just spent 20 hours over the weekend trying to set up multiple outpost to fabricate goods for a mission and nothing is being sent, nothing is being made. I'm beyond pissed and want nothing more to do with this stupid outpost. I'm destroying all the outpost I made. I mean, why in the hell are all the powerlines AND the damn out links RED??? My outpost looks like a damn lazer light show on crack! And the tutorial they made was God awful.
ОтветитьSo would the other forms of cargo links essentially be the same except for a need for an extra, separate supply line of gas extracter linked to storage that is then linked to the fueling storage container on the different link?
ОтветитьWell done man, thanks!
ОтветитьExcellent work! This is very helpful and strategic. Love it.
Ответитьwe cant use both way at all ? like receive + send ? Only one way ?
ОтветитьOutposts are a bit out of my reach now but... oh gods BUT! I did NOT know encumbered CANNOT kill you :O That's a game-changer to my hoarding addiction!
ОтветитьMy guy this helped me a ton. I still had to run around for resources, but this saved me unsurmountable amount of pain.
Now the problem I am running into is one of my outpost is sending only one material. This Outpost building system is excellent, I hope they improve upon it and fix all the bugs.
I'm searching for another video that simplifies a helium bank. This one didn't spend time on that
ОтветитьGreat video , thank u, I just came to conclusion the other day, I should just build one real.base, I did thr incoming and outgoing mistakes trying to have mats everywhere and ended up with them nowhere lol.
ОтветитьLate to the party, but thanks for ELI5! Finally, got it!
ОтветитьWhat is the configuration to use HE-3 on Planet A, and send HE-3 to Planet B so that one can have a D->C->B->A configuration? I have a man base that I want to have 3 other planets send resources to. For the life of me, I can not figure out how to distribute HE-3.
ОтветитьThis was more concise and understanding than any I have seen. Thank you for your hard work.
ОтветитьSo, our "supportive" outpost extract resources to Storage Box --> Cargo Link transfers them to the "main" outpost. Which means "supportive" outpost doesn't need a lot of storage spaces, ideally it must be always empty as resources go to "main".
Question: how many Storage Boxes do we need per single extractor in "supportive" outpost?
I think 1 or 2 is enough. Cargo Link has 300 space, Storage Box has 75... Extractors will stand by until Cargo Link free up more rooms for resources... No need to have enormous storages... unless you have a desire to fly here and pick up stuff manually.
Dude this is so easy to follow thank you
ОтветитьThis is the best explanation for new players that I've found, and I've watched a fair amount of videos. I've wasted more time than I want to admit not understanding what you've shared. Thank you for the well explained, informative video!
ОтветитьThank you!!!! I did some outpost work last night, and this will help refine it.
ОтветитьYeah my only issue is as soon as I activate the interstellar interlink whatever cargo ships my game starts lagging horrendously about every minute or three and I'm not sure how to fix it other than just deactivate them which I kind of don't want to do kind of need it for my absurd XP farm and other than reducing cargo containers and or deleting outpost I don't need anymore They were just for material for completely minimizing them not quite sure what to do
ОтветитьThanks for this helpful guide, TactiCat! I learned a lot from your video, and I appreciate your clear and concise explanations. Keep up the good work!
ОтветитьYou still can end up with stuff going loops or at least having goods in the incoming storage because of cargo ships start to cycle stuff once the cargo link in the main base can no longer unload cargo because the containers are full.
So even if you only use the outgoing containers you get the incoming ones filled sooner or later.
This is fine... as long you only ship one resource but as soon you are going to ship a larger number of resources from your small bases to your main base everything will break down. The game also has problems to prioritize cargo. e.g. I have outposts which ship multiple goods to my main base. Lead, iron, aluminium... everything is correctly connected to the outgoing box. But the main base is ONLY filling up the containers from the incoming box with Aluminium. All other goods are simply not shipped because the game prioritized certain stuff for shipping and ignores the rest. This only can be avoided by having a cargo link seperated for every shipped resource but since Cargo links are very limited you are not going to get far with that.
The whole cargo link system is and remains a mess. It needs a way to prevent cargo ships to transport resources when there is no storage left on the incoming outpost and the cargo links need an option that says "incoming Iron goes into this storage container, incoming lead goes into a different container and incoming aluminium goes into the third separate container".
Only then cargo links have a chance to really work in this game.
The transfer container is another joke of its own. The amount of cargo it holds is so low that it much faster to exit the ship can pull the resources directly from the containers instead.
Most appreciated! I am having the problem where one of the three resources I'm trying to send out isn't sending. Trying to send Iron, Aluminum, and Helium. Aluminum, exclusively gets left out of the chain. ???
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьI love outposts. Got almost every resource mining to a main hub amazing daisy chain was working and now I cant figure out the weak link im tired of traveling. Bugged and not worth effort to iron it out. Maybe its time to just use transfers. So disappointing.
ОтветитьCan you stack outposts? Meaning can you send 2 outgoing planets to one incoming planet, then have one outgoing cargo link from that planet to another one?
ОтветитьWhat does the transfer thing on 4 wheels do? Never see anybody using it. Link from storage straight to cargo link works.
ОтветитьIve been waiting for someone to make such a video. Simple, informative, and clear. Too many similar videos waste your time with irrelevant info and chit chat. I understand the system way better now. Well done.
Unfortunately, the big bottleneck im experiencing with this set up is the limited capacity of the Transfer Station.
The moment I hook it up to full storage container chain, the transfer station is full too, so I can only access that element. So having multiple elements routing into it doesnt do what I was hoping it would do.
I would love for it to not be a container at all, just a common access point to the containers. That seems like what it was supposed to be, it just doesnt work like that.
What if outpost links dont show up when you go to link them?
ОтветитьThe thing is, the inter-system cargo link needs helium-3 to run. You need to have that incoming as well. ??
ОтветитьThis is a great guide. I wish Bethesda would simplify these mechanics though. With max skills, you can have 24 outposts. Imagine trying to funnel 23 outposts into your home outpost. You need 23 cargo pads at home! I'm not sure that's possible, so your home planet needs like 3 outposts to hold 21 cargo pads. I would love to see one of their devs stream an outpost building session where they try to accomplish that lol.
Ответитьoutposts are a mess. The interlink stuff and the connections to transfer containers don't work right. Outpost defenses totally suck.
