Old video I know but you should do one where you actually talk about the build and the skills you're taking and why. You hover over the passive skills and gem skills for a tiny fraction of a second and don't really talk about them

This "game" seems more like a job then a game, and entire point seems to be to have bigger stats that come from loot leveling gems talent points etc just bigger numbers until end of your real life.

i'm a brand new player in act 4. lvl 40. Is 2300 dps on my main attack skill (sunder) good enough? the game is so complex I need to make sure if I'm doing ok haha

I'm brand new and ran into this video looking for someone doing exactly this with well explained but not too complex points on everything. Followed the build and very happy with it. Holds up well, even in Crucible, a couple leagues later. And I feel like I have a good base for understanding how to level a character and get through the start of a league. Thanks for the 7 hours (plus I am watching the next video as well). Pacing was good. Probably a bit fast if it wasn't pause-able (poor stream watchers). But overall, great help.

I was following the video, but in act 4 the translation of the subtitles in Portuguese stopped and won't come back. I am sad! 😭

As someone who is trying to walk through this as a beginner, there are way too many things that have changed in unknowable ways to make this guide useful. We need a specific build guide for a specific build that is still working. NPCs give you 7 options for gems on quest reward and I just move to quit the game. Give us help or good luck getting new players.

I played this game for the first time for 7 hours.... got a necklace and put it on and lost my 2 skills, no clue why a necklace would remove the skills i have on my weapon.

Did you ever do the second part to this as I can't find it. There is something about mapping but it is just power point slides and a lot of times in this video you mention "will explain that tomorrow"

fixed damage reduced. is that before or after res. or even can these modifiers stack. and if they do stack is it additive fixed reduction?

I took the frost blade gem as reward for the intro mission, but it won't work with my archer despite it says it works with projectiles...can anyone clarify?

dude this is great and the best content in this game. having said that you fly way to fast through selections and decisions you make on gear and passives. Go watch any guide for Elden ring then redo this for current content and it will be way better. I literally couldn't keep up with half the shit you were talking about. You said this was for beginners but you are talking to your veteran friends using acronyms and making very quick selections.

you say you need no accuracy after last lab (worthy foe) but don't you still need accuracy for the first hit? as it only taunts enemies who have been hit

Hey, as a brand new player but long time d2 player, some advice for content for new players would be
What item mods will scale my damage
- I’m using traps and I’m really confused about what effects the damage, ie; spell damage, elemental damage %, + x fire/light/cold damage, upping your weapon base damage, etc. Great content though, spam watching your videos. Keep it up

Does the dmg of skills scale based on your weapon dmg? does it depend on your dex str int? does it vary on spell or attacks melee or projectiles?

That was great. Only think I would add, as going to be sei when u r entering a zone or adding a skill point. That because when u r a noob like me, it is pretty hard to keep up with booth screens, so if I hear that u r putting the skill point I can pause at that time to check.

It would be a great game, if the devs actually took a moment to program an in-game breakdown of how all your stats and skills work together. The game is a huge guessing game accompanied by reading a ton on hidden mechanics or stuff someone managed to somehow figure out and playing around in 3d party tools.

Seriously, they should freaking take a league or two off and actually program a detailed calculator in the game itself that shows exactly how a stat is coming together based on items, conversion, passive skills whatever with precise numbers. That would actually be useful, instead they keep creating new content which is already impossible to follow for anyone not playing full time and having a bunch of buddies to learn from about all the mysteries.

Is it playable at solo playthrought eventhough you don't do farming ?

I didn't like that you were in rush at the end because of the announcement stream. "We have 60 minutes", "30 minutes", etc. is not the best viewing experience here in the future 😀

Listened to the whole thing (Idk what drops enabled means but I'm glad they will be! /s), but tbh this long form of just seeing someone do the thing helped me understand the expectations the game has of it's players. There is a lot of knowledge that's expected of the player, and you've done quite well to balance those expectations. This has been an awesome experience with the game and now in act nine after three days because FUUUUUUUUUUUCK are you fast.

Improvements that could be made is some sort of auditory call as each zone is entered. This was done pretty often, and I don't think any more often would have helped a ton, I'm just being not picky because this a lot of work for you to put in, and you're asking for feedback so there it is. I know that the zone is in the top right, but I have many things open, not just this video (I was following a different build guide so maybe this was just a me issue!). This is probably the only thing that got semi-annoying at times because of how fast you are, and not realizing you answering two questions means you're probably already two zones ahead of me. Lastly, if there are specific things that break the build you are playing (I know from the video that adding fire damage ruined it) I'd suggest putting the "obvious" ways one might fuck up in an overlay. Just the one or two things are critical to avoid. Because it just so happens that while I wasn't playing this build, I did fuck up in a similar way that felt innocuous.

My first character experience - to new players that might be thinking about playing:

I didn't follow your build and I feel like I learned a ton. I wouldn't say it's paramount to follow the example while playing along, but it IS paramount you have a guide. I missed a part in my guide where I actually need to STOP leveling certain gems because well, there wasn't room in the passives for raw stats.

I wrecked my build, and for a whole act I struggled INCREDIBLY hard. Went from no deaths to entering Act 7, and died about 30-40 times, and made very little progress in hours of playing. Vitality, steelskin had shut off entirely, but flame dash didn't shut off until a few levels into me going mad with why I was sucking so much. Soon as it was gone, I noticed the build had crumbled with my toon writing checks with life that it absolutely had no business trying to cash. I barely even looked at my life prior to this point just because of how OP I'd felt a few hours before.

Pay close attention to instructions. Literally even overleveling a skill (several in my case) can cause a lot of headache. lol

I started in metamorph league, and I've learned a lot, but never knew how easy it was to be res capped through the campaign, thanks for that.
