Queen Victoria, to me, was always plain. In her older years she looked downright miserable. She was never a beauty…..
ОтветитьI’m sorry, I don’t understand why all these men were “ in love” with Queen Victoria. Don’t get it…..
ОтветитьNasty food…..🥘
ОтветитьDid you have to bring up Meghan and Harry? Nauseating
ОтветитьIn other words, Albert kissed his Aunt/Mother in Law 😂😂😂😂😂
ОтветитьCould you have made the introduction any longer and redundant?
ОтветитьMagnificent documentary thank you.❤❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьShout out to Lucy worsly from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, one of my favorite presenters. I am a certified history nerd and also majored in history. But maybe Queen Victoria was terrified of childbirth since so many women like her cousin died giving birth.
ОтветитьVery wasteful..

ОтветитьWow, how handsome is Jasdeep Singh the historian who found the right chapel for this reproduction!
ОтветитьA truly magnificent documentary.
ОтветитьGive the prince albert expert his own show!
ОтветитьAmazing, thank you!
ОтветитьI love this! What fun! (Although I think the idea of sewing the wedding dress by hand is a huge challenge!) Lucy, I always enjoy watching your history shows. It is always a learning experience! I was watching this during my lunch break, and I had to pause unfortunately! But I saved for later. Stay tune for more comments!!
ОтветитьCalling all English. Does Ms. Worsley have a speech impediment regarding her "R's" or is this yet another English accent? My apologies if she is a Dr. PhD? Or the English equivalent?
Ответить❤️👍❤️👍❤️...Thank you ☺️☺️☺️
ОтветитьA super long and busy day, a corset, tons of food and drinks, by bedtime I don't think I'd be feeling too good either lol.
Ответить❤
ОтветитьLucy, I just finished watching this wonderful recreation of Victoria and Albert's wedding. Beautifully done. Thank you and everyone else involved for the tremendous work that went into resurrecting this historical event. I never realized how important their wedding was in so many ways!
ОтветитьLucy...my grandmother and I love to watch you...i think ive seen THIS one like 3 times...anyways...WE LOVE LUCY
ОтветитьThis must have cost a small fortune to reproduce. It was just wonderful❤
ОтветитьThey were fed by Indians and the rest… 😂😅😂
ОтветитьPetticoat was also made with Indian Fabric.. !!
ОтветитьBeautifully done but what a waste of lives, save monarchy by sacrificing young's lives, only for power and weálth.
ОтветитьThis is the 2nd time I have watched this and it might not be the last. Really enjoy the recreation and the amazing hard work that went into it. Thank you.
ОтветитьAbsolutely breathtaking documentary and recreation of such an important event. Loved it!
ОтветитьLoved this. The best presenter ever. The best..details ever. Pray for America please. Ty
ОтветитьSuch a delightful story to watch from the beginning to the end...
ОтветитьVisual arts such as video requires little to no words. The constant chatter of people from gardens, pews, here, there inside the church is absolutely ridiculous. Ruined the presentation.
ОтветитьThat cake is incredible !
ОтветитьCousins marrying cousins marrying cousins ... EEK!!!!
ОтветитьReally enjoyed, keep up the great work and thank you
ОтветитьLove the animated details of asparagus and butter by the actress chef.
ОтветитьIt always shocks me the amount of hatred she had for her mum. She would have never been the queen she was without the strict way she was brought up. You would have thought by the way she treated her mum that her mom must have beat the hell out of her or was an alcoholic or drug addict. Honestly, Victoria sounded like a spoiled brat. Especially her treatment of Flora Hastings.
ОтветитьVictoria's mother was not a queen mother. She was a duchess.
ОтветитьI don’t know of any American “presenters” as you call them with a speech impediment. Does Britain not have speech therapists or don’t they insist their journalism majors be able to speak correctly?
ОтветитьYou're the best, Ms. Worsley!
ОтветитьI loved this…Victoria is the Only Royal I have liked…Talking About Harry and that THING He married took away from this Video….Those 2 are a DISGRACE…..
ОтветитьSo many of the congregation were wearing 1810-20 dresses.
ОтветитьI like Lucy but what a shabby production!
I learnt some details though not sure they were revenant. But feel robbed at not discovering what produced Albert’s transformation as a more assertive young man. It jumps from 17 to 18 and 20 yrs of age, some passages not clear at how they got there and they could have filmed a scene where Albert & Victoria run into each other’s arms once the wedding news becomes official, we don’t see their courtship at all!
I suppose this is done as BBC propaganda for the monarchy & for women mostly, who like period pieces etc.
I felt like Victoria married a quick clandestine cheap wedding rushed because she was pregnant, and not a properly planned wedding at all!
The jelly custard or whatever could barely stand itself! They skipped through some interesting things like assembling the cake - what a cheap topper!
Almost none of the dressed were fitted on people! Or on Lucy. Regency dresses!
The chapel not decorated, and as many mentioned some decorum/ protocols not properly done.
Victoria’s dress doesn’t even look like the one in the picture. Not to mention her black dress, a color she probably didn’t use unless in morning, didn’t fit properly either. … urgh, just shabby!
Does that mean that food cooked in copper pans will poison people? They are in use still. (The comment abt the cake pan)
ОтветитьI would love to see a program without having to view it through the distorted lens of feminism/modernism
ОтветитьI just love ❤ all of Lucy Worsley's programs! Her content is unimpeachable and she makes learning about it fun!
ОтветитьIt's odd how the highest in society can be complete animals when it comes to food. Disgusting dishes to be consumed like worms passing soil through their bowels. Disgusting food.
ОтветитьI LOVE everything Lucy does, you can feel how much she loves history.
