This has to be the best video I have just viewed to striking better iron shots!!!! :) Thank you, Danny!!!
ОтветитьGonna work on this thanks Danny!!
ОтветитьSimply brilliant
ОтветитьHey Danny,
If I hit a longer iron say a 2, do I still place the ball closer to my left foot but I keep my middle of sternum and hips ahead of the ball?
I too am a high handicap golfer. I tried this and had some success. Only some because old habits never die. My question is, this is great if you're on a flat surface. What happens when you're on an uphill/downhill slope?
ОтветитьIs there a way of checking your low point on a outdoor range or indoor using GC3 or GSPro (I think) ? ..as I have'nt got easy access to an grassed area at a practice area currently
ОтветитьThank You 29
ОтветитьMy local range has a sheltered area, with canvas ‘walls’. I’m finding those walls very valuable for rehearsal of striking. I swing into the wall, not hard, but focused on hitting it at the correct attitude. If the whole club, from my hands down to the head, hits simultaneously then the swing form is good. And today’s session was very good indeed. 150+ yard carry 8 irons on average, 205 yard 4 irons, and 215 yard 5 woods (persimmon). As the swing gets more comfortable, the 5 wood will stretch to about 230 on average. And as the 4 iron and 5 wood get more comfortable, I will re-integrate the 3 iron and 5 wood. And then, finally, the driver - from which I will expect 260+ on average. Not bad, considering I had major surgery just a few months ago and separately have some back issues.
It’s this online coaching that’s making the difference and helping me remember how I used to swing.
are you in England?
ОтветитьI compress my driver and out drive my opponents but hit 5 iron when they hit 6 or 7; what’s the best way to compress my irons and increase distance; does rolling my wrists at the finish help?
ОтветитьBrilliant lesson, thanks Danny.
ОтветитьThanks Danny a Merry Christmas to you 🎄
ОтветитьAmazing how I know this from watching your previous videos and it is consistent with a lesson i took but catch myself needing a reminder! Great video!
ОтветитьThx Danny you are such a great teacher. I watch it rather casually but really enjoy your content !
ОтветитьHi Danny, I'm Col Rakesh from the Indian Army and a die hard golfer
Having a beer in the clubhouse I saw your instructions video on hitting irons..
Went to the range to try out what you had said. Believe me I have NEVER hit irons as cleanly n sweetly as I did
Thanx Danny. Have become a fan of yours
Sincerely
Rakesh
I love this video! Does the discount code work for 1 year only? Or will it work in perpetuity for future renewals?
ОтветитьI hit irons - consistently to the right - straight - so not a slice. what is solution ? hands ? thanks for any guidance
ОтветитьVery helpful.going to work on this
Thanks
Where are you from Danny? Sometimes I hear Yorkshire sometimes I don’t 😂
ОтветитьThanks Danny for the good lesson. My question is when we address with a little more weight pressure ( eg, 55%) on the lead leg, do we keep the weight pressure there on the back swing or make weight transfer to the trail leg? Thanks always.
ОтветитьLove this video Danny. Thank you.
ОтветитьOMG I implemented this into my round yesterday. Such a minor adjustment but massive gains!
ОтветитьThanks Danny your teeching is great
Ответитьi struggle with ball first i set up with fwd shaft lean and try to hold it through the impact area as this would promote ball first . it seems like i have to play the ball back further in my stance to get clean contact . i dont move fwd enough in the swing and my shoulders are verry wide 54 inch chest . . my pop also plays the ball back in his stance . problem is low ball flight . i have just started to place a tee down next to every shot to see where i am hitting the ground for instant feed back . most of the time fat unless i move it back . i need to move better through the shot i think any advice on that ? thanks bro keep up the great work .
ОтветитьDanny, the ABSOLUTE best video I've ever seen to strike the ball FIRST then the ground AFTER. The Drills really helped and I'm now hitting more consistent shots with my irons. You're the Best and we can forget the Rest !!
ОтветитьTried this out today and I was so pleased I did. Early days, but it's something I can work with to help improve my ball striking. More please Danny.
ОтветитьThank you Danny! Great exercise for me!
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьThe flow and stability in the golf swing highlighted in this video are impressive. Analyzing the technical aspects of the swing has made me contemplate the direction of my own improvement. The player's refined movements and stable swing are truly admirable.
Ответитьgood tips & easily to implement in the course.... thanks alot Danny
ОтветитьWhere is the lowest point for hitting a wood
ОтветитьExtremely well explained
I've got a silly question
At the moment of impact, what part of the ball should I hit, bellow or above the ecuator of the ball
Danny, low point control has been a perennial problem for me. Sadly, due to an accident I'm unable to straighten my right arm which doesn't help but this video was super. Once again you have proved that you're the best.
ОтветитьWhen you take your club to the top of the back swing what is your mechanism for firing the downswing. Is it a feeling of firing your hips or firing your shoulders that lead the way
ОтветитьThat's exactly what "Encanto" champion course in Phoenix looks like. Except we have lots of Palm trees .
ОтветитьThanks Danny. These are some good golfing tips to try out on my next golf practice session. Cheers!
ОтветитьLoving hogwarts in the back
ОтветитьHi Danny, LOVE your LEGO i the back. Good for Danish follower :D
ОтветитьHit your irons perfectLY, it's an adverb ffs.
ОтветитьOne of your best lessons and definitly one of my favorites, can 't wait to try this on the DR 👍
ОтветитьGreat video Danny. On Monday I had 38points hoping to improve on that tomorrow. I seem to have added a bit more distance too . Improving watching your videos 😊
ОтветитьWow, yesterday focused on striking a piece of grass in front of the ball when hitting my irons. Was flushing shot after shot without my typical unpredictable draw. Was quite shocking and noticeable to my +2 playing partner. Forget the ball strike the ground
Thanks Danny!
I was losing distance with irons and other probs, thanks again Danny
ОтветитьGreat video. Thanks.
ОтветитьI"m probably looking right at it but where is the Practice Plan you mention at the beginning of the video? Thanks!
ОтветитьGreetings Danny - many of us here will only rarely strike balls off turf at a range. Yet properly getting feel for taking a divot off a mat a challenge; I've seen drills like aiming to strike a tee placed about 2" in front of ball but do you have any modules that address this kind of issue...? How about those mats that are like velcro fuzz/help you see the strike path of club...? Thank you in advance - and of course - you have a super awesome and generous teaching site...!
